Who cares what Dan Stapleton thinks about it. Has nothing to do with this review. It's a game that doesn't appeal to everyone so it's going to get very high scores from some and a little bit lower scores from others.
Jim Sterling has been super critical of the game long before it came out. I could have told you months ago that he would have gave it a bad score. This won't be the trend in most other reviews I'll tell you that.
The only people with a "review copy" are those who bought it from a seller who sold it to them early. So this game had no business being reviewed yet.

Agreed. A large community loves the UC4 MP myself included. In no way is it trash.
@WellyUK maybe it could be best racing game ever but that doesn't mean it qualifies for GOTY. To win GOTY a game usually needs a complete package. Great Story, gameplay, presentation, voice acting, etc. When a racing game gets a really good story then maybe it will qualify but that probably isn't going to happen anytime soon.
As for Uncharted 4 maybe it didn't do a lot new but what it did it did better than any other game in the genre. You don't see a game ...
Uncharted 4 is the only serious contender listed in this article. Inside is good but it's not GOTY quality. Journey is the only indie game that has ever won a significant amount of GOTY awards. I like how the article also says that Dark Souls 3 is the most critically acclaimed entry in the franchise which is also false. Doom again is good but it won't win GOTY on its single player alone.
As for other games coming up No Man's Sky, Deus Ex, Mafia 3, Dishonored 2, ...
Um I'm sorry lelo2play but where did GTA5 win GOTY in 2014? This site tracks all GOTY winners by year and GTA5 on PS4/Xbox One didn't win a single one. Again remasters and DLC don't count to critics. http://gotypicks.blogspot.c...
Also while GTAV did win a lot of GOTY awards in 2013 it fell well short of the amount The Last of Us won.
Did you read the article? You would see that some of those games were mentioned. Also DLC never qualifies for GOTY from critics which is the way it should be. It doesn't matter how good the Witcher 3 DLC it doesn't qualify as a new game.
Perhaps but some say it's in rough shape not to mention the Final Fantasy games haven't been in that discussion for a long time. It's going to have to prove itself.
We're talking about overall number of awards. The Last of Us won over 200 GOTY awards. Same for Witcher 3. Yes Fallout 4, Bloodborne, MGSV and others won some GOTY awards last year but Witcher won more than any of the others. The point of the article is that Uncharted 4 is the front runner to win the most right now.
There is nothing wrong with an article talking about GOTY contenders to date. The article isn't handing an award out now.
Same here. I'm pretty disappointed with this sale. Some games like Horizon 2 I wanted aren't even on here. This sale really is not good when you compare it to the sales we get on PSN all the time.
Same here.
Did you even read the article?
Bet you said the same thing about Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us. Sorry but Dark Souls doesn't compare honestly.
Yeah doubtful as no game in the Souls franchise has ever won many GOTY awards. Bloodborne was the highest with around 30 last year but it got blown away by The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4.
Sales don't dictate Game of the Year discussion which is what this article is about. It's going to be hard for any game like I wrote to top it in score too.
@yinyang I'm well aware of who he is but his opinion has nothing to do with this review. You brought him up just to try and bring some negativity in here to counter IGN Spain giving it a good score. On this particular review no one cares what Dan thinks.
