I'm not in any type of law school and I'm not gonna pretend like I know what laws are or how they work (unlike some of the other users on this site) but here's my theory;
Capcom can argue one of 2 things;
1 - We have a ToS in all our games that no one reads that says something like "we can modify and replace at any given time" which they can say "oh we had it planned but to meet deadline we had to wait till later, and charge because...
My top 3 in this order of most hated gaming companies:
Activision (After Bobby Kotiks' comment I refuse to buy anymore of there games)
Square Enix (Until Vs13 comes out I will not buy another game from them)
Capcom (Used only at this point)
I want to play the Japanese translated version of "Top Secret Hitlers Revival" (Bionic Commando) if anyone ever knows of one in existence.
This is a big reason why I miss the old gaming days; unfinished games didn't exist outside knowing it's "beta" or "a demo" (Especially back in the 90's with the Pizza Hut demo cd's). Anymore its ok to release a game half-assed, patch it from what the community says, and work on another project when they reach a point that sales are starting to slow down. Fallout 3/New Vegas comes to mind every time I play a game that's "almost" playable (I...
(From the article) "The problem, to them, is that collections of an entire video sequence of a game (rather than just a few clips) is equivalent to copying and spreading the game—after all, they programmed the game and made its visuals, so they should control where it shows up, right? Wrong."
If that's the case, remove speedrun videos, "how to," and even Reviews from the internet as well; I can't stand sites and companies who swear its "wrong&...
You know the media, they needed something to blame (not the newspaper but another source) and they found it
I still say RE died after 4, and I'm still refusing to buy 6 unless its used or < $20
There's emulators for pc to play those
Every 2-3 years is acceptable; every year, no. Anymore it feels more like an expansion than a full game; every 2-3 years at least there's that time from fan feedback, betas, etc to ensure that sequel is going to at least be good or somewhat decent. Every year release seems more like milking at this point; and whatever ideas they have planned are included in next years release and pass it off as "new idea."
My 5
Final Fight
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Mortal Kombat
Killer Instinct
Capcom vs SNK
Glad I'm waiting to buy this garbage till its either cheap or second hand
My personal opinion RE's story ended at 4.....
I'm waiting till 6 gets either discounted or buying second hand; the demo didn't impress me at all.
That's how I see it; punish the one who uploaded it to begin with, not the people downloading it. Apparently someone in house started most of the uploads on the internet and yet the people downloading it get fined while the suppliers get nothing done - and yes I am aware that some people at home have the time/resources, however most of what you see on the internet is from in house, especially with certain games on broken street dates and dvd screener movies.
I vote for an alternate ending since they do plan on making future ME games, and if Sheppard isn't the main character at least have him/her as an NPC or have some sort of reference
If only every new ps3 had at least a trial run to show the value...
I like + and will renew when its time
I prefer the PS controller
Read the article before posting, there is some funny/interesting points that's brought up
Depends on the game, and the current playerbase.
Part of the reason I left FF11; there's too much end game content, and not enough low to mid level activities to help from burning people out. Back in 2004 there was something to do for every level up to 75 (Cap back then) up to and including Chains of Promethia missions (Due to mission level restrictions).
I went back in 2011 and everyone was so hell bent on Abyssea and you "HAVE" to be at level...
I vote to lose their right to blog, and to block the site so they can't post dumb articles like this in the future.
