I actually don't have cable tv hooked up, I use other services to watch my shows. And before you go any further I don't like the direction tv is going today; I watch a lot of older 80's-90's shows that aren't aired anymore.
I've talked with people who pirate games and their #1 reason; no available demos for the game they want to play, and they need to verify the game will play on their PC before spending the $. Yes there's minimum requirements, and sometimes there's websites who can test your hardware, yet there's times where the test or the minimum requirements are met, when you play the game itself it doesn't run as expected, and with PC software you can't return it, so your $ lost.
Make it free (with advertisements) or paid with 0 advertisements for gaming, and eliminate the racist screaming homophobic singing cursing kids and I might give it another chance.
I'm only saying this off of what I was told/read, so if someone knows different feel free to say so:
The main problem is no mandatory achievement/trophy system on ALL games; I guarantee if every game had it sales would be a lot higher than now. If people read my past posts I don't favor them however I can see a lot of people using some sort of achievement system as a factor in purchasing games. Price being a close second since a lot of games are on PS3/360 that'...
I saw how stupid easy this game is from when I played back in the 75 days; and I'll pass at this point. Even if it's new jobs that just means more stupid voidwatch/abyssea runs for no name gear to look "l33t."
I can't stand sites that make you click on separate pages; if other sites can keep everything to 1-2 pages, why can't other sites do the same thing? Because of that I didn't even read the article, so I hold 0 say so about the games selected.
Not everyone has an imagination, or they'd rather youtube it for "clarification." then later whine because it's not how "they" thought it would be.
Add Lightning, and Rose from MGS2; god she was annoying with her whining.
Mika, is that you?
OT
I have a Vita, and I'm enjoying it. I especially like how the PS1 games I like can be played on the go without some sort of modding the system; just wish they had more titles to release however I'm fine with what's there for now.
There is a way where he survives, however I hope they at least have more elaboration on him surviving along with everyone else. I do feel what your saying though, I didn't like how you make this character only to die at the end.
Unless it's some time later, and even then I hope some of the original cast is there.
I like all 3 games equally; outside tech issues I'd vote it one of the top series this gen.
(Not sure if you played 1 so I'll assume you didn't for what I'm about to say)
In 1 the extra storage helped because a player can decide what weapons they needed for certain situations; as well as keeping certain items around for trade purposes. I remember plenty of times I was able to get hydra guns however others couldn't; so I'd trade with other people and they had certain guns I didn't even knew existed and that was better than what I had over tim...
Back in the 90's I'd vote Street Fighter, now it's Mortal Kombat
It's the same as past generations; you can copy all you want however unless you bring something new people will grow tired of an idea and find other games to play.
(From the article)
"Designers felt that the number of backpack slots in Borderlands 1 made it more difficult for new players to decide if a new item was better or worse than things the player already had. UI designers were concered about not being able to sort and display a large number of item in an efficient manner in the UI (this becomes even more of an issue in split-screen on consoles). BTest stats indicated that people tend to carry around weapons that weren't use...
I'd kill to go to an actual arcade again that has good games (not just MAME machines either). I especially miss the days of a mall having an arcade that made people think "Do I spend $ here or Funcoland?"
Zipper and 38 Studios will be remembered; Socom was a damn good third person shooter and KoA was one of the funnest games I played in 2012.
I swear they need to vote Kotaku off this site entirely, and they're getting desperate for hits at this point; and using a national disaster for more site hits? F- Off!
The 90's, best generation for fighting games.
If there's one or two every so often it's annoying however I can look past it; it bothers me when just about every game I've played online on 360 at least one of the above was always in there. I had one guy actually vote me down because he didn't like playing with non white people (I'm black) and even had some racist comments he send in a message. I sent the report to Microsoft and I received the standard "We'll look into it" report. On PSN I had maybe 2-3...
