Microsoft "can" have one of two options for Live pricing; Free with advertising, or paid with 0 ads. That alone would help soften the blow for people like me who play online limited times a week, or who want the online only to play with family/friends without having to pay for Live every year. When I get on PSN the only ads I see are all from PSN, and it's mostly game and movie deals, or about Plus.
The deciding factor for me was PS Plus is an optional servi...
Wow, look at all these shareholders arguing over sales. /s
OT
Who cares?! What gets me is how many people argue to the death about sales and instead of arguing over the quality of games/consoles they instead argue like they have stocks in these companies and there's some special prize for hitting 100 million first. It's arguments like this that makes me not even take N4G seriously anymore.
Or they were forced to change a few things so it can be sold without restrictions. I was really looking forward to playing this but now I'll have to wait till Sept to get my GTA fix.
This can be said about any game, not just Dead Space 3.
Mario Kart 64 was one reason why I still had faith in the N64 when it came to racing games; then I discovered Gran Turismo. I'm surprised No Gran Turismo games, Forza, or even Rogue Squadron made honorable mention if not part of the list.
I'll be back in college when this hits; I wanted to at least get some time in before classes start. At least now we have a definite release date so I can go through some of this back catalog of games before it hits.
I've been going to other sites lately for gaming news; I'm sick of the trolling (although some of it is funny), approved biased articles, opinion pieces that passes as facts, and off topic responses that negate the entire discussion. The other sites I go to have 0 tolerance for trolling and fanboyism, and mod out anything not related to the story itself.
Lately there's been a lot of debate about violence and video games which I feel is very important, and yet I r...
Straight port, as far as the sound I'm not 100% sure.
Vice City!
@rpd
I agree; I'm not a big fan of trophies either, yet there's those few people who swear on trophies/achievements and some go as far as refusing to play older games just because there's no "electronic checklist" to prove they played something.
The extent of me playing for trophies is to shut up naysayers about me completing something; instead of just a game save (they think I downloaded from the internet) I can now show them "Look...
That Cardcaptor one definitely wins "why?" award; However as of late I'll just stick to the regular versions of games, special editions are only if it's the same price AND has something useful like a guide or some type of fold out map.
I agree, there's also a lot more to be added, and I know a lot of people who would sign it.
I Agree with all 3 of these 100%:
3. Regulate DLC - The author has some good ideas for this, and I'd like to add Season Passes is basically a guarantee companies will sucker people into something they don't need. Companies like Namco have my respect because so far for Tekken Tag 2 they had their added characters free, and charge for soundtracks (something you don't NEED) and with Mass Effect 3 the Extended Cut did help soften the blow for a better ending without ...
(From the article) "Midway Games claimed its 1993 NBA Jam was the first arcade game to earn more than $1 billion in quarters."
I'd thought Street Fighter 2 would easily top that as successful as it was back then.
The author is right though; the real arcade experience back in the 80's/90's was far greater than just going online today playing with someone. Back when going to the movies, Wal Mart, the Mall, even Pizza Hut was exciting bec...
Gaming journalism anymore is people using each others stories, add their own twist, then post it as fact from "unknown" sources. Sites like this give them the hits/revenue they need and later produce more junk articles just to have more people hit their site based off "what if" and "might/maybe" situations.
I hate to say this but N4G has lost a lot of ground from the majority of people with their fanboy articles that get approved, and the impo...
My $60 demo came with a free game! /s
One of my all time favorite games, to this day I still try to find time to play it.
Go cramped my hands big time, I also didn't like how it's 16 GB flash that's not upgradable.
These days a reboot is only going to kill a franchise and/or anger either older fans or newer players with fabricated situations. If this was back in the 90's I'd kill for some reboots using talent back then; now? Make new games and leave the oldies in memory lane.
I'm kind of in the same boat, however I'm waiting more of a release date for the PS4 so I know how to budget my $ in time for the PS4 instead of getting broke then having to wait.
