Honestly, I'd prefer gaming back then because you had a sense of accomplishment when you completed any game regardless of difficulty. You want hard? Try Hyper Street Fighter 2 on normal difficulty and successfully fight Akuma.
Granted I do like how today there's options for difficulty to help with various players, and there's nothing wrong with options.
I'd kill to have an actual Socom release.
Nintendo being best game devs (and publisher) can be debated. While I do remember some of their games being good, as far as the experiences my vote goes to Sega and PlayStation.

Good. Granted video games do help with coping with the situation, and yes I'm a gamer, gaming is not an essential part of living currently. Even though GS claimed other products being part of the solution, bottom line is the upper group tried to capitalize on a national emergency and it failed.
And protecting from what, and why? That's the entire point; people can debate/argue till they're blue in the face on why it's ok to protect your IP, but protecting from who, and why is the question no one can apparently answer. "Because I said so" seems to be the default answer when all other options are exhausted, or because someone is to lazy to actually give a thought.

And companies do have a right to protect what they own, no one is saying they can't. All we're asking is explain why fans can't make digital art out of their favorite characters.
At times these companies go after fans because the fans put in more time and effort towards something than the actual devs/publishers, and the companies don't like how someone with half the resources can do a better job.
Not necessarily. Most creative projects start with modding a game, or fan made add-ons. A lot of people got the position at a major gaming company by modding/adding to an already established game.

Stories like this remind me of why I don't own any Nintendo consoles at the moment. It's not about "protecting their IP" as claimed, it's about Nintendo basically being whiny because they hate to see their anything on another platform.

To this day, 2 is the only game to almost give me nightmares. Pyramidhead is one creepy mf; and I don't use the word creepy much. Every time he would show up, I'd sweat and hope he never caught me.

I may be wrong, but doesn't GDC mean Game Developers Conference? If yes, why are people complaining about the tech jargon of the PS5?

I'll be enjoying the exclusives while the Xbox will be 2~ years into no console exclusives to show the power of the console.
I'll be buying a PS5 at launch because there's already some games announced I want to play. As far as Xbox, show something where my gamer needs are sated. So far the one game I do want on Xbox is also on Steam, so no point in spending $400 on a $20 game.
I noticed the big block of space between the PS4 and the bottom of the graphic. I'm hoping it's for the other gens and they didn't want to say anything to set hype and expectation since they're still testing things.
A. 2 Because most of those set unrealistic expectations.

My main issue with opinion pieces is 90% of them aren't nothing more than the same BS that can be picked up elsewhere. It's one thing to have an opinion about delays, or why X game plays a certain way; however, to have an opinion about why PS games showing up on PC spells doom and gloom, I'll pass.
