This was likely a problem with the site you were watching it on. I watched on YouTube and the sound was fine (as was the connection) except for a couple instances where Geoff's mic volume wasn't on.

I haven't played it, but I love the narration. At first I was thinking this is boring, but the emptiness of the game I think is meant to emphasize the loneliness which in turn places a lot of value on the companion. Definitely going to play this.

Every time I hear the term "season pass" I just smh. I'm really getting sick and tired of this. And why are people going out and buying this? Something needs to happen and I'm not sure what is going to take for these cash grabs to stop. Unfinished games, non playable games, season passes, bullshots, lies, sequel upon sequel, etc, it has to stop.
Tbh, with all the people I know, nobody ever says they would want another Crash game. It was fun way back when, but I think 90% of the people are over it and kids really don't know about Crash anyways.
True...but eventually devs NEED to grasp the idea of optimization. When there's APIs out there that would greatly reduce bloated system requirements like this and provide for an all around better experience and devs don't use them that's bullshit. Its laziness.
I used to think like you, then I built a gaming PC. Turns out, a lot of my complaints were blown out of proportion because of my console bias. My PC didn't cost anywhere near a $1000 and our runs everything high/ultra 1080p and 45 + fps on a non overclocked rig.

In my case, all 3 new consoles are not appealing at the moment so I'm building a gaming rig. Maybe in a year or two I'll pick up a console. Tbh though, I've always been a bit partial to Sony even though I've owned non Sony systems, but this gen i feel these companies are getting greedier and greedier so i said fuck it and I'm going PC for now.
Can't wait as my ps3 version was buggy and never played right so I gave up.
