I never watched or listened to their IGN podcasts, but I've been watching the guys on their KindaFunny YouTube channel and so far I like what I see.
Then stop fanning the flames with comments like this, especially when nothing of the sort you're talking about has been said.
There are cards out capable of running DX12. A simple patch would be all it takes. There's a list out, but I'm too lazy at the moment to look for it.
Or @ E3. Hopefully we'll see or hear of some games being developed with DX12.
If there's no Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls (not the online game) announcement then it'll be a failure imo.
We had also better see a new engine if they do reveal any of those games.
I don't think many doubted the effect of dx12 on PC, only its effect on the X1. Dx12 is a win win for all PC users, so why would anyone be against it?
Security, a bigger budget, more collaboration with other Sony 1st party studios and technology, maybe better paychecks.
@ zealous, yeah pretty much. How and why once great companies and cornerstones of gaming lose their vision, innovation and sense of pride by not releasing terrible games I'd like to know. Many of these companies have just been riding on the backs of past great franchises or their company name.
Same here, I'm a patient man so I can wait.
Anyone try running this with an FX6300 r9 270x combo?
@BG11579, really?!? Life sentence for DDOSing and hacking a console? Lol, give me a break. As a taxpayer, the last thing I want is funding a life sentence for the losers. I wish we had lashings, because in a situation like this, lashings is a good punishment.
Iirc it want about technology it was about being different from the other 1 million generic shooters out there. A dev had messed around on the side with cell shading the game, when other members of the team saw it they decided to go with that.
Also, I don't know if its true but I heard cell shading is more demanding on the CPU so that tells me it want about technical limitations. Either way, I like the cell shading, it separates BL from the pack.
How so?
Was going to disagree, but then I thought on your comment a bit. While its not the main point of the game for me (its the co-op I get to play with my son), I'd say loot hunting is #2 most important part of the BL experience for us.
Right now we're building his PC and once that's done we're going to play the pre-sequel co-op. We had so much fun playing the first 2 on ps3, but bad fps took some enjoyment out. Can't wait to play in a solid 60fps.
Yup really no need for disc drives these days. New PCs many times don't include them either. My local electronics store usually has sales on OEM disc drives for $15 if I ever decide I want one. But drivers for just about any device can be had online and I don't watch movies on disc anymore so...
Here's the problem MS will face. Morpheus and OR are 2 platforms driving the VR market (there may be other, but not that I know of). That means devs can develop for both. A larger market with more potential for success. MS AR device will struggle to find devs outside of 1st party, especially with the smaller X1 install base.
Btw, both fascinate me and I want both to succeed. These are my childhood dreams finally coming to fruition and I hate the people that want devices t...
Its fun. Good customization and there's a try before you buy on weapon customization. A nice change of pace from military shooters.
So...a game about bull fighting is bad because it may promote animal cruelty. But Hatred is fine because video games don't promote violence? Some of you guys are hypocrites.
Bingo. When support for XP dropped MS must have raked in a butt load. When you're dealing with corporations you must have a secure OS. They'll probably drop support for Vista soon, which will force some to upgrade now, others will follow soon.
But who cares, if its one thing MS knows, its how to make money.
These people aren't serious when they make these threats. The other day on CS:GO someone told me he was going to hunt me down and destroy everything I love. Should this be taken seriously? No, because we know people online talk shit. Maybe I should try to garner sympathy and say I was threatened because I'm a man, see how that goes.
