Basically. I was vocal about backing their decision because I feel any store has the right to carry what they do and don't want without criticism. Who am I to say otherwise? But this flip flopping has made me lose any respect for them because the set a moral standard then backed off. This is where Gabe needs to grow a sack and make a statement to get respect back.
Yup, I don't play online shooters anymore, but when I do it's Loadout. One of my favorite parts of the game is how you can try out customizations before you purchase them.
I gave up trying to reason with these people. They need to just outright say they want to play the game instead of attempting to hide behind the freedoms and hypocrisies and censorship arguments. Especially since all the arguments they try and make are so full of holes they carry no weight.
For people that haven't played this game, you're in for a treat. Has the same TF2 feel but very unique in it's own way.
Cause we all know age verification works right? /s
Maybe you missed my point, I never called got this game to be banned. In fact I haven't seen anyone here do that. All I'm saying is I support Valve in making a decision to remove it from their store.
It's their company, their rules.
And there you go, can't make any logical argument so you resort to TPB and cigarettes? First of all, we're talking about Steam, not TPB, stay on topic ok? Who is saying the devs have no right to create what they want? Nobody. Who is saying this game encourages violence? Nobody.
Stay on topic.
Btw SteamPowered, where is your concern for "letting freedom ring" when it comes to Valve removing this game. You all act like Valve is the end all be all of the PC market and that they HAVE TO allow anything to be on there.
So I guess you'd be ok with a rape simulator? Child molesting simulator? How about a game where you kidnap, torture, rape and kill babies? There IS a line, and this game crossed it.
So much salt from people when it comes to MS. People didn't cry when 3DS sold at a loss to get back in the game why now? Oh that's right, because its evil MS.
What the hell does this have to do with X1? As stated before many many many times, by many many many people, X1 improvement will be minimal. This is for the PC front, not consoles.
No matter what some want cod isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I played the mp this last weekend while it was free on Steam and I was impressed. But while it was good, I've found I'm over cod. A weekend was enough for me.
@SlapHappyJesus, as someone else here said, wrong battle. You want to fight against broken games or consumer rights I'll be right there with you. But this isn't that. This is about a sick, twisted game that imo has no place on Steam and Valve agrees with me. You want to play the game, fine, nobody is saying otherwise, but Valve doesn't have to carry it.
You want to call Valve out for hypocrisy, fine, then vote with your wallet and don't buy from them. But taki...
No game has any RIGHT to be on Steam. Valve controls what's on there, nobody else. Does porn have a right to be on Netflix too?
Personally, I feel we don't need games like this. I'm glad Valve is taking a stand. Put this crap somewhere else.
I have 5 friends who game on PC and don't own any Nintendo products...see how that works :/
Also, I'd think WiiU sales would be a bit higher if so many PC gamers chose the WiiU as the companion console.
And many people have gotten tired of ps3/360 but have yet to buy an x1/ps4. There's a lot of gamers right now not playing anything. I've sold my 360, rarely touch my ps3 and have been mostly on my PC now. Not sure just when I'll get a current gen console.
Many PC games aren't cheap as well. Look at COD:AW, its still $59.99 on steam. That's one example, so don't get all uppity on us.
like a year ago there were many on here saying 4k TVs were not going to be under $10k for years to come, possibly not until the X1/PS4 gen was over. Now they've come down in price and the average consumer can afford one. Technology changes fast, I wouldn't underestimate it.
@ elsuperamigo, nobody is suggesting that they only game on PC. I would venture to guess that most of us that game on PC have companion systems as well. I bought and played RDR the week it came out and its one of my favorites, but I could definitely see the appeal of it being on PC.
Stfu decrypt, you give pc gamers a bad image.
The appeal was supposed to be for people that know nothing of computers but want to game on PC. Not everyone is capable or willing to learn how to build a PC.
