Are you a complete windows noob? Every computer I build and drop windows onto, I've had to install the OS once and once only. I have no idea what you're doing to corrupt your OS so quickly, but myself and millions others don't have to deal with that BS.
Overall this program highlights the inefficiencies in OSX.

Seems like a sham. I doubt they jammed 8 mini speakers into that thing to reproduce 7.1. And having 7.1 jammed into two confined spaces seems to defeat the logic behind 7.1 in the first place.
The USB thing is nice, but in the end your fooling yourself for what comes down to a basic head set.
(you can actaully get a 7.1 system for not much more than these headphones cost)

Yes you would need a modified Red Laser reader (which will probably be hella expensive as compared with Blu-Ray).
In addition, DVDs will have to be re-engineered to be as durible as they made Blu-rays to prevent scratching (since you'd have upto 1000x more to lose)
And finally, no mention of costs involved which is already troubling.
