There's probably a deeper reason for this in the end. We'll probably know more in the coming weeks.
Wow that's one deadly battery accident. Good to see it's been adequately resolved as well.
I only ask if he's played and beaten them all.
Too bad there's no in life gamescore for doing so.
If EA did somehow collapse there would be this massive void filled with a bunch of small upstart game companies. That in itself would bring a 10 year golden-age / renaissance to the industry, spawning fun and creative games. Sure they wouldn't be COD4s or Halo 3s, but they would be like living Katamari Damacy all over again.
Heh, really good article that brings up some excellent points about video game mechanics.
Part of pricing is based on how much people tend to make. So they don't care if you make $8 or £8 / hour it's still 8 (whatever your currency is) per hour you make. So then it's likely that you can afford the game @ 170 or 140 of your currency.
This is all factors into that thing called 'the cost of living'. If someone from the UK came to live in North America, they wouldn't get all huffy about how they're being paid 'half' of what they would in the UK because prices are ad...
It's Sarcastic gamer... Funny, but should be on Bad Joystick, not N4G.
Foul mouth brat! In my day the locked us up for thinking of saying a bad word... Days in advance!
Please, please... no more daily Mac vs PC articles. This is getting annoying.
PS. there are several irritating issues in a Mac based environment that I have experienced, so not all the time is a Mac better than a PC.
Not when you have a warranty with them. That's the point of a warranty, to ensure such mishaps are dealt with smoothly and swiftly.
Clearly the tech guys or the shippers were not taking the best precautions and in doing so have allowed damage to happen. That then moves from a warranty issue to an insurance issue on top of it.
Well, I'm semi glad this comparison came out. But they make the differences seem so dramatic when they're practically on par with one another (a typical difference of about 3 points between the bars, however it is presented a little to dramatically).
Looks like either board will do you well.
Gee that's not slanted or biased. The PSN store is going over a makeover and so shouldn't even be included.
Don't call a three person race when you only have two competitors.
In the end it won't be up to the gamers or the developers. It's always up to the man who's paying the money. Remember advertising has standards and methods that are always employed. It will be the developers job to place the ad into the game and make sure it's not obscured, visible and easily recognizable.
The perception that developers and gamers have the last say is false and misleading. Advertising is part in your face and subtle. I don't want my games becoming like the intern...
On the whole, Halo 3 has been quite a blip, being that it was only really celebrated more prior to it's release than it was after it's release. My friend who has it, played it and hasn't really touched it again.
COD4 stole the lime light from Halo 3 it seems. Not even Halo Wars is getting that much attention.
In all honestly, I think Halo (1) is a lot more memorable than Halo 3 has been.
However, on his point #4. A lot of people build computers (like computer stores put together semi-custom machines for people to buy) or at least upgrade components. There's a lot of ignorance being displayed on that point.
If people didn't build computers or upgrade parts, then computer retail stores wouldn't sell individual parts.
Yeah these bi-weekly arguments are getting old and redundant. PC users like to change things up when they want to with windows and such. Mac users like the unified oneness of their operating systems and expensive computers.
That's the end results in the end.
I like how the article glazed over the one major component that will make it successful commercially. That being the Xbox 360. I think that will be a better staple than having a major Zune component.
Other than that, I can't see them filling the store with much else.
It's PSP and DS piracy in general which doesn't make sense.
As much as this article tried to get a point across, I think it failed on a whole to make a point at all. It was unfocused to say the least.
This 'article' (which seems more like a rant) needs to be properly written so I can actually understand what she's trying to get across.
It really only turns into butt rape when you look at conversion. Throw conversion rates out the window, factor in costs of living, shipping, licensing, compliance with EU/ UK standards... then the costs go up.
And given that (from what I can say to know) that less than half of Europe (UK, France, Spain, etc.) speaks English and all the Rock Band songs are English, then really, where's the appeal in the first place for Europeans to rush out and buy it?
Are they going...
