At least give them credit they didn't bail after the first month like that other game Anthos Anthrax... you know that Bioware game EA already forgot about.
Yea, it makes me a little sad honestly. They are just repackaging PC hardware. I really miss truly custom chips that had real innovation.
Say what you will about the PS3 the Cell was brilliant as a chip. I was always a little disappointed they didn't make a next gen Cell, but it's obvious why that wasn't going to happen of course.
But at the end of the day the rise of AMD has it's own benefits for consumers.
Nah, you can see what the SSD's will be look up PCIe4 SSD. That's 100% what they are using. (brand might be different, but specs will be near identical)
Zen2 and Navi are both PCIe4 so it only stands to reason that's what it will be. That's how Mark Cerny was able to confidently say it would be faster than any SSD on the market.
Given that everything is coming from AMD the only way to have a more powerful console would be to increase the price relative to the other. I bet both companies are happy to move away from that.
When they are both using the same parts it's probably kind of silly to make the battle about power.
I'm not sure why that matters, at the end of the day I am pretty sure both consoles will end up almost identical.
It's pretty safe to assume that both Sony and Microsoft know what each others chips are. After all, they are both being manufactured by AMD using essentially the exact same parts in the exact same factory at the exact same time.
Personally all biases aside I'd rather the consoles be judged by the games than their power, that'...
AMD recently registered 5 variants of Navi, some people think there will also be a 5800 that uses the full 64 cu's. That would likely be the $500 variant and that would likely sit between the 2080 and the 2080ti.
It's unlikely the 5700 is going to be the rumored $500 card.
And basic is a great way to describe it. Like when I see lets say Bayonetta and the combos and stuff all chain together and look awesome, I sit there and i can't even begin to imagine how much work went into making all the animations much less building a system where they all freely flow together into awesome chains.
Then you see this demo and it's basically just a guy walking next to an enemy and swinging a sword wi...
