If you take a look at pretty much every E3 they did after 360 came out until Kinect comes along you'll see they pulled out their charts. They always pointed out that COD, Halo, Gears etc outsold everything.
JRPGs might not sell as well on Xbox but is that a good enough reason for MS to not do one when Sony and Nintendo are somehow able to create so many that don't sell? If your competition can release things like The Last Guardian or Wonderful 101 you should be wil...
Its just a tactic to make it look like the others are getting "last year's news". Truthfully they don't work because people started catching on to Microsoft's tactics. The reason they sell less is the hype has passed the game by. Look at the amount of money Microsoft threw at Rockstar just to delay the GTA DLC. Do you consider it worth it?
They paid an inflated price just to create the illusion that the DLC wouldn't exist without them when they...
Their exclusives are the main problem. Their EA mentality is destroying their system and they seem oblivious to it. Sure sales may matter for your company but you need to understand that some games are required to get sales over time as more people come in. Its their desire to focus on the big sellers that has hurt them.
The thing is gamers don't care about sales. They want a variety of games. Aaron Greenberg touted Halo 3 as selling more than 6 PS3 exclusives but ...
Timed exclusives and marketing deals are honestly a waste of money and benefit nobody but the manufacturer. People will buy it on what they want and no amount of "but you can play it first here" drum beating will change their minds.
Its just unfortunate for the other individuals who are made to wait.
Your comment reads like a PR person trying to boast or advertise the system.
Personally don't even think its an opinion. It proves not only is it true but exclusives are by far the most important factor.
And people still care about single player.
I got a similar impression. Switch seems to have appealed to the hardcore much better than Wii U did. I wonder how the concept would have caught on if Nintendo had done it with Wii U.
They kept hold of Wii with the Wii U. It had the branding, all accessories, was backwards compatible and even had the old OS when you selected it.
Yet the Wii U had as much in common with the Wii as the sun does with the moon. Wii had a library of arguably the worst quality Nintendo have ever put out and was filled to the brim with mini game collections and shovelware. Wii U had a hardcore library and arguably the best quality Nintendo have ever put out.
I've said this many times in the past. Not kill the Xbox brand but sell it off to a company that would manage it. Microsoft themselves are terrible. The used game and Kinect spying fiasco is the thing that made X1 lose in the first place but it's their actions now that keep them behind and lets not forget it isn't the first controversial hardware to come out of them (360 with RROD).
Microsoft should have thought it through past seeing games as trying to one u...
You shouldn't be so quick to sympathise with Sakurai. There are an awful lot of developers out there that work just as hard as he does and get treated far worse. EA have had public allegations of slave labour. Team Bondi wrre manipulating employees. Then there is the Red Dead and MercurySteam fiascos.
Its obvious he gets some thrill off the power. Think about it. He was sitting there typing up a heart felt banter that people were taking their anger out on him. Ch...
Darn it. Sakurai doesn't want to shrink Ridley down to make him playable. You never know with this man because he's ruled out characters and "changed his mind" later but I'm not getting my hopes up. The downside of these visionaries is they often stick their principals above the requests of fans and they have the right but seriously who cares about how big Ridley is?
Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt dog, Cloud, Snake, Bayonetta..... how many choices need ...
People want to relive them in the modern era. Believe it or not some prefer remakes of their favourites to rushed sequels. Just because you don't see joy in remakes doesn't mean others don't. Just don't buy it.
The only loyalty Activision has is to the dollar.
That would be the PS3 version. Its so flashy it tears the screen at every appropriate time.
When was Pyra up for pre-order? I missed out :O
Not true. The complainers have always walked among us. They just found the internet to force their negativity down everybody else's throats.
Everybody's issue with the Vita was all the potential it had was flushed down the toilet. We'll never know what it was truly capable of.
Sony should have realised smart phone gamers are just casuals and the handheld market is as big as it ever was.
Honestly Switch's success on console quality games leads me to believe it isn't the concept of a "console quality handheld" that is flawed but the fact that Sony's franchises just...

Them owning the franchise has nothing to do with what I said. I said you blame the company that refused to budge for a PS4 release. It was shopped around to a point where they needed to go exclusive.
Both had their chance and both missed it.
Why people just can't admit they personally believe Sony and Microsoft were stupid is beyond me. But they think they weren't. Now why don't you come out and say it. YOU think Sony ...
They offered it to both. Somebody found out digging up info on Bayonetta when she got in Smash. Microsoft wanted a new IP which turned out to be Scalebound. Sony didn't see potential in it.
I know you all find it hard to believe but yes, they were offered and they did reject the game.
The deal was basically "if you help us we'll give you exclusivity". Both still laughed it off.
Holy...... WHOA! I always thought they pushed their games to Switch because its like the closest alternative to Vita. Didn't think they were falling out with Sony.
Can't he get in trouble for leaking this?
