Sony, Microsoft, Sega, EA, Konami, everybody = none of them saw a future for Bayonetta.
Did they let you down? Yes but the thing is they don't care. They never saw Bayonetta as a profitable long term IP. Nintendo did.
It isn't on PS4 because Sony rejected it. Why can't you accept this explanation? They aren't #4theplayers. They are a business and didn't see Bayonetta as part of their business.
I originally had Nintendo's denial about Switch being the successor down to them wanting to milk 3DS for all its worth.
Are they seriously considering a new DS to compete against their own system?
They did the same with DSI. Honestly the only point in buying more powerful hardware revisions is if you want your games to load faster. The benefits you get from owning it don't exactly make it worth it to me.
The guy who leaked LA Noire remastered said Bully 2 was on the way. I'm actually sad they've forgotten about Smugglers Run.

People need to stop this "mobile games are the future" shenanigans. DS found a market that didn't stay loyal but that there is the problem. They aren't loyal.
That includes loyalty to smart phone games. Use smart phones as a key market and its going to backfire.
Once upon a time sales were the company's problem and not ours. As gamers you should prioritise your entertainment above how the system is performing.
Sales don't get prioritised at Sony or Nintendo like they do at EA, Activision and Microsoft. If PS4 does peak that is Sony's problem. Not mine.
MS and EA focusing on "teh sales figurez" is why they have fallen behind.
How many of us have asked them to continue Dino Crisis or Onimusha?
I seem to remember Jack saying Kutaragi was never made CEO because he was too much of a visionary. Kaz was obviously the better person for the job.
Its Nintendo's most technically advanced system since Gamecube. Even if Sony were to produce their own handheld the difference wouldn't be anywhere close to how noticeable the difference was on DS - PSP or 3DS - Vita because of the law of diminishing returns.
@michelle They are lying. Its a portable device disguised. They have exited the console market. They just aren't saying it yet for the bad PR it will cause them.
You are free to use it as a console but truthfully its the 3DS successor.
I partially agree with you. Ever since Sony entered the console market Nintendo have struggled to compete. They have continued to go down. However the same can't be said for the handheld market. This is my interpretation.
I agree that the core buyer on Nintendo is after Nintendo but that should be expected. You buy systems for the exclusives. Wii might have been able to sell more games if publishers had not seen the system as something to cash in on. I think this...
Reggie created a misconception that third parties go where power goes because of how he answered Geoff's question about third party support on Wii. That is why the media have corrupted people into believing its about power. But X1 can run all the games Vita and Switch can and they continue to skip the system. Plus DS and 3DS had better backing than Sony's more powerful handhelds so power isn't the issue.
The power thing was emphasised because of Reggie in the Geoff Keighley interview. Reggie said they ignored Wii because of the power but they didn't. Wii didn't have an install base for core games like the others did.
Its time to accept publishers don't determine platforms for their games based on raw power. They go where the gamers go.
Switch won't have the problem Wii had because it has been accepted by core gamers. The worst case sc...
I'll have you know I owned a Wii U and it has some of the best quality exclusives in history.
Metroid Samus Returns. Jose's team really blew it out the park with that one. Its also great to see Sakamoto FINALLY acknowledge Metroid Prime.
Use your eyes and your head. A handheld running ID tech 5 and Unreal 4 jumping off a system which couldn't run Unreal 3 is a huge technical accomplishment. Jumping from a system which can run unreal 3 to a system which runs unreal 4 isn't as big.
Or are you going to claim the jump from PS2 - PS3 was the same jump as PS3 - PS4? Because I have news for you. A system which had HD capabilities, a Blu-Ray player with dual layered discs which can store full HD games wi...
@Nyxus
Completely agree. The problem *might* be that Microsoft being an American corporation share EA's mentality that service based games should be the only ones in existence. Whatever makes them believe that they can keep deluding themselves.
360 had the library variety it did because they had games for all types of players. Want single player? Banjo and Fable. Want party games? Lips and Scene it! Now they have completely omitted both.
...
They blame market trends and money but the truth is they only want to push online for control purposes. You have more dictation over online restrictions.
Its already been stated from somebody who found out about Bayonetta's Smash Bros inclusion that everybody rejected Bayonetta 2 so they went to Sony and Microsoft to exchange exclusivity for green lighting the project. Microsoft wanted a new IP (which they cancelled anyway) and Sony just didn't see any potential in it. They pretty much either went to Nintendo as a last resort or Nintendo offered.
Why can't you restrictive fanboys who don't play Nintendo jus...
