I'm pretty sure by now the next xbox is definitely next year. Probably November since MS likes it. The leaked document proved true and rumours about the next xbox have been coming since late last year.
The question is when will Sony be ready?
Nintendo milk Mario because thats what people want. They do it because it sells and people buy it. There are so many mario spin offs Luigi's Mansion, Paper mario, mario party, mario sports games etc. They could all be classed as new IPs but Nintendo use what the people want. Its not Nintendo's fault Mario sells. Mario is still going and for some strange reason his platform games (and this includes mario bros u) are still as compelling as they were back in the day.

For me it needs a price drop. Or if Sony aren't going to drop the price of the system at least drop the price of the memory cards. You cannot make memory cards needed to play games and then go asking the ridiculous prices you are.

If the second slide pad was there people here would be complaining that Nintendo ripped people off and is alienating old 3DS users. No matter what the internet would put a negative spin on the situation. For some reason they just don't like to be happy.

Its very hard to say when PS4 will be released. Somehow I am thinking next year is unlikely as well. But Sony can't let Nintendo and Microsoft get too deep in the pool.

Wii U will beat Microsoft's smart glass. MS say "oh yeah well smart glass can hook up to all these gadgets" but thats not the point of Wii U. If you think smart glass will be more relevant than Wii U I have two words for you. Buttons and Mario.
People won't buy Wii U for the sake of making it compatible with televisions and phones. They will buy it for Mario and Zelda. And the buttons are a requirement.

Japanese third parties will support it. Nintendo has more relevance in Japan than Microsoft and Japanese devs won't ignore that.
I might get blasted for this but I agree with you. Sony NEEDS their next system to be profitable day 1. And MS is catering to casuals as well now. Why would casuals buy something based on graphics when they don't know what graphics are?

Activision and Capcom are the worst of the bunch. I say worse than EA. Nintendo is just as bad as any of the big 3. All three milk what is successful for them. Nintendo notably milk Mario. Microsoft notably milk Halo. Sony notably milk Ratchet and Clank.
NOBODY is as bad as Bobby and Capcom content lockers. Period.
