The guy is always wrong. He can't explain "why" they are in disarray when its "facts" pulled out of his backside. If he checked the Japanese profit charts in January he would have seen Nintendo made the most money. That doesn't sound like a company in disarray to me at all.

Yeah, not a casual system pachter. Nintendo seem to have realised that casuals might buy into hardware but not much software. The system has core written all over it. Its like a DS you play at home.

Not that it will but pretend for minute Vita did tank (yeah right). It would not effect 3DS because Iwata admitted they are scared of smart phones and are keeping a strong lineup because of that. Regardless of if Vita is there or not it will not effect how much support 3DS gets from Nintendo. N already established that fact.
There is no way Angry birds will become the only handheld game.

There will be more third party games than people think there will because of development costs. People might not realise it but there is a sizeable fanbase existent on Nintendo provided they win them back. Which they will.
Of course it wouldn't matter what it has some just won't stop hating and Pachter will still call it a fail.
Not if Microsoft buy Remedy it won't. But I am actually curious who owns this IP. I know it was planned for PS3 as well but Microsoft wanted to publish it. I know Epic is one of those rare cases where they own the IP and MS don't.
But regardless of how well this did, don't expect it to go on PS3 any time soon. If it was marketed properly it would have done a whole lot better than it did.

Every system is doomed bro. These internet journalists and random bedroom bloggers need to wake up and accept there is someone interested in the system whether they like it or not. That one sceptic is nowhere near an indication of the rest of the world.
3DS has just become the fastest selling system to reach 5 million units. Regardless of how well Vita will do 3DS will still outsell it.
And pokemon can sell that amount for 3DS when it arrives. Nintendo's games sell like hot cakes. Also just saying.
Why does this guy still have his job? All he does is change his mind as and when stuff happens or states the blindingly obvious. If I was paid what Pachter gets for every time this guy either contradicted himself or predicted wrong I would be living in a mansion.

Like with any device it all depends on what you want from it. If the price and launch line-up cannot justify a purchase its best to wait until later. Those who want one right away will buy one. Others will wait.
