But only those games. Only famous/well known franchises will sell and gain profit. The variety of games will pretty much vanish.
New IPs won't surface because they won't be worth the risk. Halo and CoD sell. But that also means more Halo and CoD will show up because they sell.
Your name fits you rather well.
In that case developers that ignore Wii U can enjoy bankruptcy. Anyone being realistic knows this will have a terrible impact on consumers.
As I have said all along. A stop gap generation is what is best.
It benefits manufacturers for maximum profits.
It benefits consumers for prices of consoles, games and DLC.
It benefits developers who want to earn back money they lost due to the new engines they built several years ago.
For...
Halo sells because its a great series and its good to see 343 proving the doubters wrong.
Your right. People point to Dreamcast but Sega was never as big as Nintendo were. Sega fanboys just like to pretend like they were.
Nintendo have always, and will always have WAY more fanboys then Sega had.
Well they are right by pushing the technology within the system since they want people to know it is for those people. Its just challenging for Sony to persuade PS3 owners to jump on Vita.
It can't sell 3.5 million because Nintendo are shipping less Wii U's then they have. They are buying their own stock as well. Its all to manipulate people into thinking it is more popular then it is.
Aren't those the theories the doubters are coming up with? I think Wii U could easily end up catching on as fast as Wii did. At least at first.
I bet its on disc.
No. Sony doesn't need the PS Eye. The only thing that can do for them is "expand" into casual territory and keeping away from it is the reason why they get the most respect from the core.
Camera controllers are far worse then controllers with buttons and core gamers will not accept them. The only thing building on their camera controller would do is be jumping on the bandwagon and they would lose their respect by doing that.
NO CAMERA CONTROLLER...
Again, it isn't something that prevents millions of people buying a console. It paves the way for DLC abuse by pushing people's need to get 100 % on everything. And it really says more bad about it if you can't play games without them.
Sure there are people who care. But how many really?
People are still going on about power? Its about the games. not power. PS2 was the weakest system of last generation yet had the greatest library by far.
Great games as well. I haven't seen a launch lineup this good for consoles since last generation. Definitely beats 360, Wii and PS3.
I'm glad Nintendo isn't jumping on the bandwagon with this one. If you can't play games without them being there what does that really say about the concept?
@ knowyourstuff
Sony is just as guilty of hardware problems as Microsoft is. Your post seems incredibly bias in which it points out Microsoft's hardware problems. Like YLOD doesn't exist?
You can say "oh but RROD is more frequent" but reports have stated that after the slim 360 came out more PS3s are suffering from hardware failures then 360s are.
We know Microsoft have problems. Every manufacturer does.
I think the better question is can the next Xbox do it? Microsoft are losing sight of the ball with Kinect and Nintendo are definitely proving they have learned their lesson.
lol I was going to say Power Glove 2.0. Most would rather just have a controller but MS say the future of gaming is no buttons. Using your hands to press buttons is like a babies toy :P
They don't really need new IPs though. They can make surprising sequels to their franchises to keep things fresh. F-Zero, Starfox, Wave Race, Eternal Darkness, Pikmin and Xeno are all games that could use sequels and most haven't had them in a while. Those are enough to compensate no new IPs (though they would be welcome).
Every time I see that picture of Cliffy I imagine him blasting the gun in the air shouting "COME AT ME LOCUST!"
Isn't there ports at every launch? At least the ports here are some of the most critically acclaimed games this gen and not overhyped donkeys like Gun.
lol I was going to say = But nobody was publishing Timesplitters. Perhaps Nintendo would be so kind as to step in like with Bayonetta 2.
