My old 4850 would push out better graphics performance than the consoles on multi-platform games. ie L4D2, RE5.

Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong. I teach here in Japan and have over 600 students. I always ask them about what games they are into. Alteast 95% percent of the males of all ages own Monster Hunter.
There is Monster Hunter everything here. Its ridiculous. It's more than a game now... Its merchandise too...and on a phenomenal scale.

I meant that Max Payne had a very different character (persona) from cut scenes to ingame. So much that I thought it could have been a different actor in some of the shots.
Lol - I been using this an Emulating Wii. Its pretty funny playing 2 Player New Super Mario Bros with a xbox 360 and PS3 pad. Ain't no one gonna call me fan boy!

I bought my 360 soley for Forza and Left for Dead 2. I have built up a big collection of games over the years anyway but none were really console exclusives
I still play Forza but this new one from e3 is simply milking the NFS crowd. Im tired of the MS milking.
L4D2 I now play on PC because I grew bored of waiting for the new maps..which still havent come (so I play them on PC now).
Its partly Valves fault, but more so MS since they dont allow Valve to pass DL...

MS isn't exactly known for their video processing and codecs - so don't expect the world. You shouldn't be such a blind fanboy and give Sony credit when it's due... The PS3 clearly spanked any 360 or other Blu ray player that money could buy. That's before even talking about its Media Center capabilities.

Yep, GPU's can't be understated! CPU's are very far from being the bottleneck these days.
Who ever has the monster GPU wins in the looks department. But it was nice to see that this gen the cell was capable of adding a little extra shine with post processing.
I hope this time consoles GPU's go with a dirty high voltage desktop based beast.
