Frontbite 2 is a scalable engine as it said the article. Hence also why they were able to gimp it to work on PS3 and 360.
Devs can make almost anything run on the 360/PS3 but if its too intensive, contect and features must be chopped for it to work.
PS4/720 shouldn't not be a problem.

Wern't the graphics amazing!! And the gameplay was indeed tight.
My only gripes are:
it didn't have the Max Payne darkness or twistedness. As beautiful as the environments were they all felt a touch cliche..it could have been Drake or any other recent game hero - I wouldn't have been the wiser.

Man, some of these websites that get posted in N4G will do anything for a handful of hits.
Big, bulky, noisy, ugly, non streamlined eyesaws with a sh$t load of cords hanging out that people generally do there best to put somewhere that isn't visible.
Don't take my comment too seriously though. Obviously it's different strokes for different folks and I understand that I'm generalizing. My own Alienware is arguably pretty ugly in my opinion too.

I got a Alienware m18x with 7970 crossfire just the other day. I admit it was pricey but it suited my needs. Sure desktops are the real monsters but they are just that. Ugly monsters.
It also myth that you can't upgrade laptops. Yes is harder but still very doable.

What I'd add though is that a new console is long overdue since a cheap PC is far more capable than the consoles at the moment.
I own all this gens consoles but after seeing Battlefield 3 in its full glory on PC I became very inpatient and bought a crossfired gaming rig.
I don't like how PC heads try and brag either but I see it keeping the console manufactures honest with their choice of hardware for the next ...

Its going to be using a modified mobility GPU for wattage so a AMD 7970m would be the best choice possible right this minute.
Disregarding console optimization that card by itself right now will do the PC version of BF3 on ultra 1080p at around 45fps. Not too shabby at all.
Take what you will from that, but that's were the tech is at the moment for mobility cards which is likely whats going into...

720p is great, 1080p is better, 1440p on a Big Monitor is even better.
I dont want to sound like an elitist pig, but I do all these resolutions so it sounds petty to hear people here gloating about 1080p being the bee's knees and somehow 720p is inferior.
What I care about the most is a frame rate with all the extra trimmings turned on ultra. Id rather 720p at 60fps ultra than 1440p at 30fps on mediium settings.
That and it looks like a cheesy NFS game - basing it around a gay dubstep music party.. ? Wtf.
