I'm not surprised this looks the best on PC. I can run 1440p with most games very well on my bootcamped quadcore.
Having said that not all games look better as a result of higher res. As long as its at least 720p that's great. Res is not as important as people want it to be ... especially fanboys.
I much prefer to concentrate on a solid smooth frame rate ,decent AA and texture quality. Its makes a bigger contribution to the games look and feel than ...
I also played the demo. I though it might be a satisfying co-op beat em up.. Oh was I wrong. Absolute rubbish. I think it had only local multiplayer too. That's just lazy. Its not as if my mates are going to drive over to play this steaming pile.
Maybe if they started experimenting with different engines. I am so tired of Unreal engine variations in every single game. They usually have a similar feel. Generally speaking XBOX and PC titles are very guilty here. For god sake! Probably 1 of the few positive things I can say about PS3 this Gen is it showcases a ton of different engines.
I have to say I feel the same way. Iv completed all the GTA's. I even played the death match on GTA4 up to 8 Stars. But the game really took many steps back from San Andreas.

Visually your right as Saints is rough... But its definitively worth mentioning it has some of the best open world online ever! yes EVER!
The whole game is completely co-op without any of the single player features being chopped. Just bought it Saints 2 for $10 online last week and have been having a blast playing it with a mate.
I'm only really bothered to play coop these days so I hope GTA5 will have full coop as good as or better than Saints 2 did.
Nice but there weren't any people or environment features so ill just wait for gta5 thanx.
All GTA5 has to do to make it better than GTA4 is make it make it half as good as San Andreas and HD.

I have a PS3 and 360 and have given up waiting for the ps3 to bring cross game chat. I'v heard its a Microsoft patent too...but I find it difficult to believe they could patent such a feature.
I didnt see the big deal about CGC it until I started playing alot of online coop games when I later bought a 360. Its a shame PS3 dont just do it. They should just bend over a pay royalties or whatever must be done. Hell having skpye running in the background would do the trick. ...

It's true that Sony spent alot of money bringing out the ps3.
However the Cell can be upgraded and worked in parallel with other cell chips very easily. (take note if you have ever seen many of the newer cheap super computers being released - they basically link up a room of PS3's).
Its likely that Sony's hard work in R&D is going to pay the dividends in the next generation more-so than the current.

I agree, gta 4 felt totally gimped due to disc limitations. If it has as much content as San Andreas with co-op ill be very happy
GTA 4 IMO looked much better on PS3. I owned both but played on 360 for the online. Red Dead looked better on X360. But Halo Reach was way better on the PSP Goof
I'd like to see some arcade shooters.
I'd like to see a more in depth skill tree. More character leveling and weapon/armor customization - Generally more RPG elements. Id also like to see a larger variety of enemies.
