I agree, with these price points i'm having a hard enough time keeping up with this generation, and I feel the graphics are good enough and don't need improving. So i'll definately be happy for awhile now.

he brings up very valid points. Yes there are games worth the $60 price tag and in my opinion that $10 hike we got for our new HD generation was worth it. But as he mentions there's a part of the industry that just isn't worth paying $60 dollars for, either because it isn't a good game or the publisher just doesn't have a great reputation. So yes I feel that AAA AA A games should have different price points.
I personally don't think i'll be playing halo without bungie. Just look at halo wars, it just didn't do it for me. So NO, im about 90% sure that without bungie I will not like halo, unless microsoft can really pull something out of there butt.

That is true, but for me personally it was a flop....I think mainly because it was MS controlled. Bungie on the other hand did an amazing job with reach so I suspect they'll do an amazing job on reach.
So the first halo was amazing, we all know this. Halo 2 was a let down and from a historical stand point halo 3 did some amazing things, from out doing hollywood, being so global and just being what it is. Halo wars, in my opinion was a flop.
Now after reading this, I'm even more excited for halo reach.
It looks like things are going to get back to the epic state that halo is SUPPOSED to be!!!!
yeah being a swg fan during it's hay day I'm definately keeping an eye on it. Not to mention Diablo 3!

it's like anything else, you need a balance in life. I was raised to have a balance and not put all your eggs in one basket. Do well in school yet still be social, play video games if you wish but also play sports. Just be a well rounded person and don't let one single thing consume you and thus hurt other things that may be important.
I'm in it more for the single player than the MP, mw1 single play was amazing and I suspect MW2 will be no different. Single play will just be EPIC!!!

I'm a military historian so thus I love military games and am very excited about this one! I myself was concerned at first at the knife throwing, but from my understanding your limited in knives so I'm not so concerned anymore.
As far as the scoreing I would completely agree. watching the trailers and seeing those 200, 3000 (for what a grenade stick to the face?) in big bright yellow flashy letters concerns...

The average reaction time is .30 seconds, only .20 seconds off of the .5 seconds. Thus this really should be much of an issue
this issue id have isn't with double tapping it's more with when people use the controller in such a way that allows them to get around certain things. Kind of like a hacker using software to get around something but instead your using hardware (the controller) to get around something. I.E. spamming the hell out of a button.
I'm curious as to how much gametime is in this one? they say the first AC had around 50 hours of total play if you did it all. Given how much they say they have accomplished with this second one and what they have improved, are we talking like 75, 100 hours? That would be amazing!
I agree with you completely. It just means that it's more "realistic" and forcing you to be more skilled. I personally don't play online but I definately do think that this is a good thing. One you get rid of hackers and two you make it so people can't take "advantage" of the controls by spamming, which you could argue is a form of hacking. It just makes it more realistic, even, and more simpler gameplay.
It's things like this that make me think this generation of gaming may be my last. Call me old fashion but I like my standard controllers and games. All this 3D talk, having to wear glasses, vertal reality stuff just doesn't interest me. It makes me sick just thinking about it lol. I know we have to advance but this is just to much in my opinion. Not to mention I'm getting ready for grad school lol.
