interesting that it's in dubai but sadly it doesn't look like the quality is that of mw2 or even medal of honor.
the medal of honor trailer looked good for the first trailer, thus It has me interested. Just hope they can stick with the bar that mw2 has seem to have raised in terms of modern warfare games.
That's what I hate. When I first saw Dante's Inferno at E3 I thought it would be amazing. The actual historic story is amazing and I thought making a game from it would be a great idea, but sadly it does look like a carbon copy of god of war. I was hoping for more, it had so much promise.
I believe for a videogame to really be a Year contender in anyway it really should be a multiplate...how a game moves the masses and thus how many people it can show an experience determines it's importants in things like a Times article. So again I would think multiplates which give the most wide range possibility of amazing the masses is best.
bungie did a great job in the halo franchise in my opinion. From what they are saying they plan to go out with a HUGE BANG with REACH. All I gotta say is microsoft and 343 better be bringing their A game because bungie left a high bar for the halo series. (I wasnt a fan of halo wars and microsoft doing something that is bungies baby is a worry for me) So again microsoft, bungie left big shoes to fill, you better bring it.
This game really is a leap over the first one. Definately a great game and ALOT to do......Doing all the achievements plus all the extra stuff in game that you don't get an achievement for but still helps complete it is almost mind numbing.
I have very fond memories of star wars galaxies, thus I'm pretty excited and watching this game closely. My only worry is I'm getting ready for grad school and am just not sure i'll have time for it. But all and all i'm very ecited.
As far as a release date, bioware has it scheduled for fall of 2010 but nothing is 100% official yet.
They talk of this title update fixing alot. Here's to hoping this title update fixes the cargo drop, javalin, and insertion glitches and brings the game back to something more normal.
The original trilogy really was good and I really enjoyed it. But Saaking, I agree I'm definatly looking for them to raise the bar on this one.
From my fond memories of star wars galaxies, I'm excited to see how this one will turn out.
I didn't say it wouldn't be a great game, I'm sure it will be. I'm just saying looking at the data most great shooters are rated M. Thus it'll be nice to see how a T rating does.
The greatness of a shooter shouldn't be determined by what there ESRB rating is. Yet looking at the info, almost every great shooter this gen HAS been rated M. Thus MAG getting a Rating of T makes me curious as to how well it will do, again given what current info shows.
Id be nice to see modern in terms of maybe cold war or black hawk down gameplay.
I never was a medal of honor/call of duty fan. But with all this modern warfare I'm all for it. Actually taking the name afganistan and taking real world events and putting them into game GREAT. I can't wait!
I never was a huge medal of honor or call of duty fan until the modern warfare.
This game however, medal of honor:afganistan taking real world events and people looks like it may end up being a must have for me.
I'll 4th that.
He always talks about putting the video games down (and yes I think we need a balance, don't let your grades suffer but don't let your social life suffer either.)....now he wants to put them in libraries?
Being a history major I loved this topic. I would love to see more variety in the games and like you don't want them to just dissapear given the honor ww2 deserves.
I've been watching ww2 in HD on the history channel and it is indeed incredible. I would definatly recommend it for anyone who is interested in seeing how the war was and in color which is a good thing given our need to keep things modern lol.
simply no!
I really do hope this game becomes reality. It would be great if they made a 3rd mw, made it a trilogy, then left it alone. For one I would hate to see them ruin such a great franchise by producing it WAY to much, secondly some of the greatest entertainment things have been trilogies, the original halos, lord of the rings, the matrix, ect. So a third and final mw would be really nice.
This is AMAZING, yet I already own the dvds so I feel like i'd just be wasting money. I started buy new movies on blu-rays but ones I already own I feel like it would just be a waste.
