What I think is funny is that they claim they were ready when Crysis 1 came out, wasn't that in 2007? So both system were less than a year old? *squints eyes*
Ok, nice. I asked since unlike the pc version it's a code, not a disk. So it's tied to the steam servers and can be accessed from any pc? Thanks for the clarification.
Question. If I load this on my pc but find it doesn't work can I for example then load it onto another family computer? Is it a one time thing that is tied to a single computer or can I access it through any pc via the steam website? I'm just unfamiliar with steam so not sure how it works.
This argument that portal is worthless because it's a puzzle game is crazy. I've hear many people say they aren't buying it cause it's a puzzle game and it's just rinse and repeat after the first play through. But cannot that be said about other genres. Fps is just run and gun.....games are genre based just like music and it's based on taste. Some may be sudoku type people who love puzzles while others may be into simulators like racing games. It's all based on you...
Gaming wise and monetary wise!
Do you know if best buy is doing the 500 reward zone points for ordering ps3 or 360 versions? I want to pick up both versions. Still yet to preorder. I just didn't know if there would be an incentive to do so cause I never was informed of one (unlike previous games). So I guess what I'm asking is should I go over to best buy on Sunday and preorder?
That's what I'm saying, like most activities age isn't and shouldn't be the issue, Proper management and prioritizing is!
You're too old when the video games outweigh your responsibilities at home. Most gamers game cause they have the time to (ie highschool and college years). When you start playing games when you should be working, paying car bills, feeding the kids, ect then you're too old. When leisure activities get in the way of adult responsibilities, that's when you're too old for something.
Not to mention that by name alone, reguardless of tech, people will see the ps3 and 360 inferior. It may be no powerful than the 360/ps3 but because it's the "next next-gen" people will see everything else as "outdated" even though that may be incorrect. I too worry it may push ms and sony to release early, I'm enjoying my consoles and am not ready for a jump. Not to mention forcing them to jump may hurt hardware/relability.
This list is kind of weird.....
But ya know, one thing I can't understand is this talk of releasing early and If they did it'd supposedly only be on steam. But by doing this you'd be leaving out a large part of your install base. Correct me if I'm wrong cause I don't see many early release things, but giving early release to some but not all seems strang?
Dices mouth is getting old. While they are really good at what they do and bc2 and bf3 are high quality, all this talk is getting old. Complaining about hardware, about cod, and beating call of duty. We're still like 7 months out, all this boasting. Actions speak louder than words. Speak softly and carry a big stick.
I was suprised to find out that Harry potters new DVD is releasing tomorrow. The usual release date for media is Tuesday. So based off that it makes me a littler curious of the idea of valve releasing portal on Friday like Harry potter.
All this anticipation, the talk of something going on on April 15, portal 2, and now a countdown! The anticipation is killing me, I can't wait for portal 2!!!
I'm excited as well. But I'm picking up both console versions of portal 2 at bestbuy and still saving $75 when buying them. Yay reward zone and a gift card from Xmas! But yeah, I can't wait for portal 2!
@robsonmonkey
See that's my worry, that because of money the story will never end and it'll ruin it. Yeah if you want to make more spin offs or do other stories go for it. But finish this story and quit while you're ahead. Don't ruin it by going the "land before time" route.
I thought bungie did a great job of this with Halo so I'm hoping for something similar on ac3.
ACB is considered more of a spin off than part of the trilogy. Kind of like odst is to halo.
I told my self last week that I'd stop watching video and wait until release. I'm doing well and want to keep it exciting but yes, this is cruel :).
I really am hoping for a satisfying conclusion. As the author said it's been said to be a trilogy. As AC is a franchise I really enjoy I just don't want to see it be destroyed by being a game that never ends. Sure spin offs are welcome but I'm hoping for a conclusion to the current story.
As nice as it'd be, I'm not psyched about shelling out the $500-$1000.
Like everyone else, the only thing that had made sense in this article was the advance level complaint. Everything else is crazy IMO. But I do see that valve can remedy the hardness issue with dlc.
