This is a question ive pondered. AC talks of something big/conclusion occurring in 2012? Now I can see where they can go and make other stories, but if the current story went past 2012 and releases in say 2013/2014 would that mess with the story? Also if they release an ac in 2011 wouldn't they also want to release one in 2012 since according to AC myth something sort of climax is expected in 2012? Either way it seems like the current story must end before or on 2012 or else releasing a g...

You're welcome Rooks. I love history, it's my focus in school and outside of gaming, it's my passion. Nice read.

The original reasoning as to why the civil war was fought was not to "smash the yoke of slaver" but to preserve the union. This idea that it was started to free the slaves is a grade school idea that gravely needs to be corrected in history. The civil war was originally started by Lincoln to preserve the country and keep it intact. Lincoln did not have a problem with slavery that already existed in current southern states, he just didn't want to see it spread to new states yet t...

Amen brother. I don't want to see this franchise ruined.

@Eamon

I just hate it when a franchise gets into perpetual releases and never has a conclusion to the story. Then they end up ruining the franchise. AC is one of my favorite franchise this gen so I don't want to see it ruined. While spin offs and a different story would be nice to keep the franchise going since it is a good franchise, a conclusion and non perpetual releases are what I seek.

@Eamon

They did say ac was supposed to be a trilogy. I don't mind them doing spin offs kind of like Halo with reach and odst. But in terms of story I would like to see a conclusion to the current story.

Simple answer, no! It's not the hardware that makes creativity but the creative minds of the software makers. We are just in a time when they are playing it safe. It's not a hardware issue but a creativity issue.

I want a conclusion to the current story arch, no more cliff hangers.

So can someone clarify this for me. If you look at the Last two graphs it says the 360 that looks at the different system versions. The 360 slim has less than a 5% failure rate. The older ps3 models have a less than 5% failure rate as well. But the ps3 only goes back to 2009, the 60gb (one I have) goes back to 2007? So is the failure rate still the same. I just don't see how older tech has the a better failure rate than new tech, or is there something I'm missing?

@ Remember the 357

For me it's not necessarily about power, this generation has done pretty well. but giving me something that is worth the price tag. So yeah I agree, I need a leap in tech not a skip.

I agree, while new hardware is always nice I personally haven't seen anything to justify the prices that will be involved. While the Samaritan demo was nice, to me it does scream "justifcation for spending $1000 on new tech." So while I'm all for new hardware, I need to see something that justifies the price, and I personally haven't seen it.

If you have that thinking, and I think a lot of us do, then it's not a hardware problem but a creative problem. When this generation started we had some unique ideas develope such as mirrors edge, assassins creed, and gears of war. The last really unique game I remember was heavy rain. Lately the creators have gone into safty mode and are not thinking outside the box as much. Yes we need innovation but I believe it's a developer problem, not a hardware problem.

I'm so excited for this game!

Did you even play halo ce?

5533d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yep there is a reason :). I have way more friends on 360 for co-op and then for ps3 it's steam for the constant up dates and the fact you get pc with it. It's the first ever game that I'll be buying both editions. I love portal! Portal FTW!

Portal 2 on ps3 and 360.

Then LA noire on 360 for May.

Those are the three I plan to pick up this quarter.

I agree. While I always love new tech I'm not in a RUSH to spend the cash. If it happens great, if not that's ok too. I'm definitely enjoying this generation.

I just want a conclusion to the current story arch and know what happens with them being stuck in safe houses. Aside from that I could care less. I want a conclusion to the story then I'm done. The story is the only thing keeping me even remotely interested.

It's a great series so I don't mind them continuing the franchise, but like with halo 1-3, I want closure to the current story. Sure halo has continued with off shoots like odst and reach but the main story was complete. AC has been great so far and I don't want them to ruin it by pushing to far.
