Surprised to see some love for XII here! I thought it was unanimously hated. Here's hope for a future hd remaster at least!
I'd rather have had a single XII-2 than the whole XIII saga... Everyone seems to hate XII almost as much as they hate XIII, but I really liked it.

Trying new things is not the same as to completly change a franchise into something else - which is what have happened here. Rocksteady tried new things with Arkham City, but it was still an Arkham game.
Seriously, people like you are the reason why developers have been butchering so many great franchises this gen (Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, DmC). Change is good - but you gotta respect your source material, as well as your original fanbase.
It might not be as rich, big or polished as Skyrim, but mine could be Dark Arisen just because I rather have my combat in a well made third person perspective.

Yup, last time I cared so much about a gaming female character, was with Claire Redfield, in Code Veronica - almost 13 years ago! Ellie is an incredible achievement. Nearly impossible not to care for her as soon as she shows up.

Devs seems to think so. I don't. I rather have a long, polished, single player campaign than a rushed multiplayer component thrown in there just for the sake of it. Give me unlockables and replayability and I'll be grateful enough.
Bigger tombs, more puzzles. That's it. Everything else about this game was perfect imo!

Off-topic: Every time I play a Arkham game I can't help but wish Assassin's Creed to have that combat system. The free flow in Batman games are addicting!
