I used to live there, but now I just use my Japanese PSN account. The Japanese store is actually cheaper than the US or EU PSN stores.

Same for me. Both of the Shenmue games were very dense, therefore interesting. Same goes for Ryu Ga Gotoku games. However, both are extremely small in terms of "real-world" numbers.

Why on earth do we need to measure these game worlds in real-world statistics? What happened to the "Oh it's huge, because it feels huge!"? It's a game, so the immersion is the point.

I'm the type of guy who just downloads everything back in a sec (got 4G LTE 50Mbit/50Mbit limitless mobile internet, 21$/18€/month). Also, once I finish PSX classics I just delete them. They take like 5mins to download anyway, and the saves stay in tact.

Surprisingly small patch. I thought this game would have been unfinished, but was happily mistaken! Gotto pull some funds from my broker to buy this, not enough cash on me hands! :D
So it took them six months to fix the game. Can't believe this sold millions while being broken. I wonder if the game had a chance to sell even more copies, were it in a better condition from the start..?
I think this will be 80-85 on metacritic. Meaning it will be a game worth buying and playing through. I like these new games just cuz they have that Next-Gen feeling. Just as Killzone Shadow Fall was a bad game, but it had next gen written all over it visually, so it was cool to experience, not necessary to play (the controls and gameplay were horrible!). 1886 looks to have a good gameplay as well, though. Everything Tesla-related is interesting as well!
I came to comment something like "yeah, they don't need to be American or Japanese, either!". But to my delight, it was a game about Africa!!
Was thinking about African, Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Arabian and Latin American cultures. Here's hoping we can learn more and more about those through games.

Yes, but what about the Wii? If that was indeed the most sold home console last generation, we need to include it and the new Wii U in the calculations to get a better idea about the console market in the US. Then there's always the global demand, which is a much bigger issue all together (but this was NPD, so it's off topic).
My guess is that many of the Wii owners moved to PS4 and Xbox One.
