Tablets will never catch up. Simply because they are meant to be portable and thus can't use that much power or space for parts. It's not that much more complicated, no matter how much technology goes forward.
Game-wise: PS4+Vita combo is the one to go this gen. The value proposition for those two combined with PS+ is just beyond anything out there.
I say, let them make them games. I say, these teams should strike while the iron is hot. There might be a time when we look back and reminisce nostalgically "Remember when they made like five of those Souls' games in few years? And they were all epic! Those were the days..."
Sometimes booms are a good thing. So far, they haven't failed, and giving their classic Japanese work ethic, I don't think they will.Even King's Field games just got better and b...
Ohh if this is a Vita game, I will be blown away by awesomeness. A true souls game on the go... damn!!!
I have a feeling that Metal Gear Solid V, and especially Final Fantasy XV will move millions of new PS4s and Xbox Ones.
FFXV has FFVII-phenomenon written all over it.
BLAABLAA VITA DOOM THIS VITA DOOM THAT!!!
Shut up already!!
The platform is selling more than ever, and new games are coming.
Currently playing: Oreshika 2, Tearaway, Uncharted, Gravity Dash, Persona 4 Golden and bunch of indies and PSX classics. Plus, I use the remote play to play in bed to complete some GTA V and Yakuza Ishin sidemissions, AND with LTE 4G connection at work to play PS4 games remotely.
I remember playing Tekken on PSX when it was just released in Europe... And that was like my fourth console :(
It's not stopping it. That is not the problem. The problem is that if you have a chance to skip the journey from point A to B (having visited both places only once), everything between those points gets missed. Game worlds change, plus it's fun to explore every nook and cranny. Also, I think it's bad design, like a shortcut for designers to avoid any other creative means of travel that are quick, but not fast travel.
I don't know how to explain it, but to me i...
Hurts!
It's bad game design. Ruins exploration completely. Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls did it right. DS II didn't. Diablo II did it well, too.
Skyrim got boring really fast after fast travel.
Instead of fast travel, they should implement dragon flying or airships etc. in games like Skyrim, like the old Final Fantasy games did. It's just so soulless to click something on map and then you just spawn there...
They need a new engine for the second game. It was done with Source, which is an upgradeable engine for sure, but still outdated as hell.
Indeed.
The Witcher Trilogy is something that I must get into. Thanks for the other tips as well. I'm a huge fan of Planescape: Torment. Heard good things about Divinity: OS as well.
Good to know there are others who like complex old-school RPGs over the casual fetch-quest-smash-buttons-acti on-fantasy-scifi-games!
Since Baldur's Gate II their games have been uninteresting to me, because they are too arcadey. Is DA:I more complex than BGII? If it is, I might give it a try.
Sometimes I can't understand why we play less complex games nowadays than a decade or two ago...
I thought the TLOU team is making U4 as they made U2 as well..?
So the other team is actually the one that made U1 and U3?
Correct me if I'm mistaken!
What's a mofo? Seriously, I don't know...
What does "intitative" mean?
The Order will be around 85-88 in Metacritic, or if things go north, it will settle at 90. Got high hopes for the game.
Bloodborne... Well, I know it's already a classic. Something that will be played forever, just like all souls games so far!
Will try this once GOTY version comes along. Noticed the game wasn't ready to ship with enough content to keep everyone happy, so I decided to wait for a full experience. Not interested in grinding or going 5 levels up per expansion. From 1 to 50 or something sounds much better.
The game seemed to need at least one more year under development. That's probably, because Activision is making choices for Bungie.
You too, well said!
Just don't come knocking on my door, sir!
Well said!
Kaz Hirai is one hell of a CEO. Respect for the dude. He is trimming the company so that Sony can become the Playstation Company! :)
That was a really well-made trailer!
Holy crap! Now we can finally get a good ninja game. Imagine, if it had the same system as Souls' games!!!
Just like the first Ninja Gaiden had a system almost like that.
