How is Microsoft handling this release differently from the One X? Their line up is becoming a bit messy (One S, Digital Edition, One X, Series X)...
The One X currently sells for $300....and for the average consumer, that's plenty powerful.
They will continue supporting both generations (no exclusives), and with the expected price....it is definitely for hardcore players.
At this point it's all speculation, but wouldn't be ...
It will all come down to price. Average consumers don't understand / care about what a Teraflop is (otherwise the One X would be selling like crazy....and it isn't).
If Sony can undercut MS by $100 (not sure about $50), I would say they found a good balance between price and performance.
I'm hopeful but cautious.
Nintendo could easily surprise everyone releasing Breath Of The Wild 2, Pikmin 4, Bayonetta 3 and even some unexpected titles (Paper Mario, new IP, etc) and more than survive the PS5 and Series X.
Or they can do like the year of Luigi and hype a ton of nonsense 😅
I wish them well but I think it was a mistake going Xbox only.
The original fanbase was basically on PlayStation, this might end up like Titanfall or Sunset Overdrive....great games that failed to find an audience because of unnecessary exclusivity status.
And sadly this is not only one game, but Microsoft absorbing the whole studio....and we know how that usually turns out.
I backed this game mostly because I really wanted to see it made.....however the rollout has been a bit of a mess and not sure what the final quality will be.
Still, paying $30 to give them a chance sounds appropriate 🤷♂️
And to think that they were once one of the best developers in the world 🤔
Well, a big part of it is that Microsoft and Sony are already focused on their next systems.
Sony still has Ghost of Tsushima, Dreams, The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, Shenmue 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.....they will be fine.
I respect Capcom because they had a very successful run this generation: RE7, Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter 5....
They should make announcements when they have something to announce. Last time they RUSHED to show Deep Down and the fans never released.
I love my Switch, but Nintendo is really pushing it with re-releases and "just ok" games.
We need more Zelda BOTW or Mario Odyssey level games.
Kirby and Yoshi were OK but hardly groundbreaking...
I would absolutely buy a new Ratchet and Clank! The remake was incredible. Great graphics and extremely fun to play 👏👏👏
Is it using the unlimited power of the cloud like Crackdown 3 or not? 🙄
Nintendo: A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.
Microsoft: We've delayed and hyped this mediocre game for years. Let's just release it anyway and try to move on.
Give me Pikmin 4 and that's all I need to love the Switch this year.
And hopefully Yoshi will be good too! Can we dream for Bayonetta 3 in 2019?
It really is a AAA game.
I've played the first 10 levels and 2 bosses and I'm constantly amazed by how great it is. It just keeps surprising you and throwing new things at you.
I've played it three times in Tokyo and it's really an unbelievable experience. It is expensive, basically you pay $25 for one race (around 4 minutes) but it's the best VR experience I've had (I own a PSVR and Oculus Go).
I usually go when friends visit Japan and they always love it!
So curious about actual sales.
I'm there day one and it seems like MILLIONS will do the same. However, the story is nonsensical at this point and it will be interesting to see if new fans buy the game.
I just hope it's FUN!!! We've been waiting way too long for a proper console sequel!
How can you not trust insomniac? They only make good or great games....so hardly a risk.
I got enough info about Smash already (and pre-ordered).
They claim that they have more unannounced games coming this year....maybe time to show them? The online service launches next month and interest seems to be close to zero.
This is talking about the One X and sadly it doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Is the difference big enough for people who played it on PS4 PRO one year early and paid $100 less for their system?
The answer is very likely, no.
For people who say "this is why the Series X will dominate the PS5".....is the One X selling more than the Pro? Or the vanilla PS4 (and even the Switch?).
Most people can't even tell the difference in graphics 🤭
