It's so sad they've demoed their technology with a 6-year old COD engine. Out of all those PC games, some of them with really advanced graphics. WHY?
Well, I know why. It's just sad.
Funny thing is it's not available for preorder on the advertised shop site.
Who cares about critics? They don't even play games, just pretend they do. A dedicated community is what drives many devs to continue their work. GT community is undoubtedly a thriving one.
I don't buy many PC games mainly for the reason I can't sell them back after finishing, which makes them expensive.
Steam sales don't impress me either. Many of those games on sale are the same I got from PS+ or I could buy them for similar price used and still be able to sell them back. Steam may seem cheap to people who only go to shopping mall chains for their games.
That's why I'm really happy they introduced the web interface. But I heard it works only with Windows browsers :/
"continue its assault on living rooms across the world"
It seems Gizmodo are clueless how poor Microsoft media services are outside US/UK. Instead of an assault, I'd rather call it a disaster.
Or maybe you're just patient. When I was raised, patience was a virtue.
For the people commenting over me: game patches are provided by game publishers, not Sony and downloaded from their servers (unless it's a Sony game, of course).
I do that with a free app which allows me to access my PC from a tablet and a phone, every day. Very handy indeed. No need to buy Microsoft hardware for the purpose.
Seeing a naked woman is trauma to him? Poor kid... He will have lots of problems with his intimate life in the future.
If you naturally swear in English, that is.
If you're not too keen on ad-infested German sites: http://www.allbenchmark.com...
First thing you should learn is that Europe isn't a country so your question makes no sense.
But I assume it's a holiday in most parts.
Jump, Kotaku.
We don't have problems with mass murders and public shootings where I live, despite that all the kids play GTA and other violent games (which I don't approve but most parents don't care much). Another fact is that I haven't even touched a real gun in my life because they are strictly prohibited and regulated and there's simply no chance you can get one without a lenghty process of getting a permit, training and psychological examination. Figure it out yourselves...
I know more than 30 people with PS3 consoles and maybe 2 who own X360. That's reality in some parts of Europe. My guess would be 4 or 5 to 1, though. But it's only a guess by the number of games you see in shops, auction sales, etc. Microsoft has never been very keen on supporting EU with their consoles and services.
I don't understand why people get excited for this. Why? Think about those two possibilities:
1. Steambox is the same as any PC out there. I mean, it runs the same hardware you can buy in a shop next door and runs the same version of Steam. It means it'll be a slightly more expensive PC (because they need to earn a profit). Why would I need a more expensive PC? I can build myself one and use it for many other things than gaming. I can choose my components as I see fit...
I've never paid more than €50 for a brand new game (normal edition) but... Maybe let's start comparing how long you have to work in order to afford one?
How can a game be less exclusive? Can you be less pregnant?
Anyway, there weren't so many exclusives on PS3 this year. A clear sign PS4 is sucking the funds.
How is this GAMING news?
People who are so jumpy about spending lots of money on the NVidia controller should check Splashtop Remote (Android or iOS). Here's a vid of a guy playing BF3 http://www.youtube.com/watc... It works, it's free (or cheap for a gaming version) and if you can connect a controller to your phone/tablet, you can get rid of touchscreen controls. I've been playing various point'n'click adventure games wi...
