I think it wouldn't pay off. For example, I'm not interested in buying any more Gears games after those 3 I played. Their mechanics in now really old and boring.
There are people on the internet who truly believe that aliens will take a chosen few to their spaceships just before Earth goes boom. Does it bother you too?
Story quality? WTF
Like this website? No.
Actually it's dated for 8th October and a new trailer with a surprise is there http://youtu.be/B4XZRe7abTs
Hey, I like reading what Cevat Yerli produces here and there. He's such a clown it's fun to have a laugh here and there.
I'm ready to dig the bargain bin for Crysis 3 in 6 months or so.
I don't have a living room. Generalizations suck in general ;).
"Yep it's far too difficult to find official EA or Dice servers"
If it's too difficult for you to input "DICE" in the search box and look at the owner to check if it's legitimate, you should be playing Tetris on your phone, not a team-objective based MP game.
Let me guess, one of those support guys who never drop ammo?
LOL, that too.
Some drivers win races in Minis, city cars not meant for fast driving. What does it prove?
I won't be happy for timed BF4 DLC for Xbox but I wasn't really happy about BF3 timed exclusive for PS3 this gen. The Premium service made it even less noticeable. If the deal is only about timing, let them have it, I don't really care. If it's exclusive content, well, would be strange. BF3 sold just a bit more on X360 than on PS3 and much more people play it online on PS3 (meaning buying Premium and DLCs, renting servers).
Another possibility: if PS4 launches...
Michael Pachter has issued a new statement: "Nextgen consoles will be sold for money".
I think this "pass the controller" thing will be limited to several minutes (10 maybe) a session. Because I agree it could lead to abuse if not limited. I can see those auctions on Ebay: "Platinums, fast, cheap" or "Want to raise your K/D in COD? 3.0 in 2 weeks or cash back" ;)
Yes, no problem. It's a matter of memory and networking resources.
I listened to the conference, they were incredibly positve about PS4, I'd say even enthusiastic.
On the other hand, PC was never mentioned (they spoke briefly about browser games though). It seems nobody at EA cares about PC gamers.
From what I read here, it's more about the cap most people have. It must really suck. I remember we had it 15 years ago but then competition made it go away. I have 150 Mbit/s line for a price of about 30 euros and no cap so I could start using Gaikai even today. I think development of streaming technology will force telecom companies to raise or lift the cap, at least for some services.
Edit: now I see you wrote sth similar below...
@JeffGunz: there's no install base if you start next gen without BC.
Secondly, if people switched from PS1/2 to X360, they can go back. Especially if the games are the same (mostly multiplats) or if PS4 has some edge there. Do you think most people really care about the brand? They will buy whatever suits them.
So the alpha male with a gun fighting monsters was invented in 2000s. That's new to me.
He is probably terrible with a controller in FPS games. You know, some people just can't do it.
Gears of War is a terrible game in my opinion. Before you shout "fanboy!", I'll tell you something else: Halo is a great game.
I'm all against Microsoft after what they did this gen and definitely disappointed with two X360s I had but I wouldn't bet on just Kinect and casual games. It makes a lot of sense that they have to appeal to the core crowd at the beginning of the gen because early adopters are people who really love gaming and will pay any price for a console. I think history will repeat and they will try to lure core gamers now, then of course abandon them mid-gen for the sake of casual stuff (glasse...
It's like advising people to make their own cars. How stupid can you be, Forbes?
Spec Ops is one of the best games I played last year. Great choice, Sony.
