I've taken, what I believe, is a pretty in-the-middle position, so now I have to ask, with the multiple disagrees, which part do some of you not agree with?
Homosexuals, period? Or that homosexuality shouldn't be forced on players?
Where do you draw the line, though? Is it strictly okay to dislike homosexuality, or does that mean it's also okay to dislike homosexuals?
Personally, I swing both ways, but I'm not yelling and screaming for there to be bi video game characters, because that's not the point of games. If a character is bi, gay, straight, that's fine. It's what they do that matters. I wouldn't want a game throwing homosexuality in my face, but nothing wrong with someone ...
Just about all of them are 4K on PC.
I don't think you understand entirely what 4K gaming is. All the textures and visuals put into a game have nothing to do with the output resolution of a device. Yeah, it can make it more difficult to output a graphics-intensive game at 4K, but that's still on the device, not the game.
Angry Birds can be 4K just by outputting the game to the proper resolution, though in some respects it IS up to the developer how i...
The money is in ads and game sales, but mostly ads.
Few people pay to get an edge, which is also why ads are so effective for those free-to-play ones. It's win-win. If someone pays for extra currency, they might end up playing less from completing things faster, but you still get the money. If they don't pay to accomplish things faster, they're providing money in ad revenue.
"Its stronghold mission, wildlife slaying and (mild) parkour antics are ripped straight of Assassin’s Creed"
I feel like this person has no idea that this is the third title in a series that has had this kind of gameplay since the first title.
While there wasn't wildlife galore in the first, and a lack of predators or real reason to hunt in the second, animals weren't introduced in the third game, and the open-ended gameplay has been the bi...
Microsoft is getting too caught up in the hype of the "Console War". If I'm in any camp, it's Sony, but the Xbox One is still selling really well as far as consoles, or most entertainment tech, is concerned.
With all these articles and blogs saying that they've "lost" the war, it's no wonder they feel pressured to do something.
Honestly, they should just stay the course. It's going to be profitable either way. They'...
I gave it up. Got $300 in Amazon gift cards instead and got some new hardware for my gf's PC. Her Frankenstein-esque components were causing too many problems.
I had a reserve with $300 down, but couldn't get the last bit to to get it.
I should have sold my reserve to someone. Now I'm PS4-less.
Don't worry. It'll be out around the same time as Half-Life 3.
I had a reserve with $300 down, but couldn't make up the difference when the time came. I should've sold my reserve... could've used the extra cash.
The thing about Spider-Man is a little off. They say it's just because it was an Activision published game with the same engine as the Spider-Man game, but it was actually because they were both developed by Neversoft on the same engine.
Spider-Man had a cameo in Pro Skater 2 while Pro Skater 2 was referenced in Spider-Man when you come across a billboard advertising it. Spider-Man then says, "Hey, Tony Hawk. I skated with that guy", which is also a line spoken ...
Fox Network: Shows like Simpsons, Family Guy, Bones, Glee, Almost Human, etc
Fox News: Very conservative news, with the motto "Fair & Balanced".
Know the difference. It could save your life.
It would be very interesting. Not only Team vs Team, but both teams defending and fighting against an enemy as well.
That would be an interesting dynamic.
I didn't say Flappy Bird was original. I definitely would not call Nguyen a "developer" either.
That's cool. If you don't see enough of a difference to justify the upgrade, no biggie. That's your own preference and people shouldn't be so upset by it.
According to "developers".
If all you do is rip another game and add a different texture, you don't really qualify as a developer. It's got the most basic mechanics possible and takes an afternoon to make from start to submission to the app store.
No reason to let these cash-grabs through. If someone is truly "inspired" and creates a new experience based off Flappy Bird, then maybe, but these knock-offs don't make you develope...
People were getting worked up over nothing. Glad to see Valve, and Gabe himself of all people, promptly addressing the issue and putting peoples minds at ease.
A lot of companies take at least a week before speaking on something like this.
He didn't just say that. One of the concerns on Reddit regarding the issue was if they can see what porn you look at, so he addressed it humorously at the very end of a lengthy explanation.

Agreed. I was curious about the game at first until learning, very quickly, that it was multiplayer-only. I'm not much of a competitive player, so it didn't appeal to me and I will probably never get it.
But I still paid attention and learned early on that it would not be the game for me. Not sure why anyone would think anything different if they're not into multiplayer.
