If you can't afford $400-500 outright, just put a little in the bank for it every paycheck.
You won't get the instant satisfaction, but you'll get it soon enough and own it outright. People these days...
I mean, I am personally scared sh*tless of debt. I've never owed for more than a month. I get less things right away, but when I do get them, I own them for life and paid less than people with credit cards or financing.
Proti...
Maybe he would do it. He's not adverse to game-related stuff. He directed the Red Dead Redemption: The Man from Black Water short.
In reply to another comment, you said you loved the other two. So, why not this? If it's mostly like the other two, which you loved, but with better graphics, wouldn't something closer to an 8 be more reasonable?
As someone who used to write for the site, it's likely click-bait.
I'm very grateful for the opportunity the owner of the site gave me, but when I kept getting beat out for stories and guides when someone finished them first, only to find that half of the information was BS just so it could get out quick... I couldn't continue.
I worked hard to provide accurate information, but that wasn't as important.
Though, as this is a r...
Yeah, that's the only real hurdle (and a massive one that will make it next to impossible), not lack of power.
Sony doing PS2/PS1, though, is entirely possible, and even original Xbox emulation from MS could happen, but 360 emulation is going to be difficult.
Then again, Dolphin is a very smooth emulator (in my experience) of PowerPC-based hardware... so that might actually bring this into an issue of power, not architecture...
Man, I was excited and hopped to my Steam to see if anything was downloading.
At least there's the FTL update.
Everyone forgets Riddick...
Escape from Butcher Bay was amazing for the time. Great graphics and gameplay. Loved the directors cut on PC.
And then one licensed game that everyone forgets as being licensed from a movie, because it was so damn good and set a standard for gaming in general... Goldeneye.
You're right, this is a huge positive for VR, just not gaming VR with Oculus Rift. There's no longer any hope for Rift to be the future of gaming, because that is not Facebook's interest, but it will help ensure we will have a future with VR gaming, just found in another tech company.
If you have the money for it, why not? I would if I could and I somehow doubt that you put yourself in serious debt. You probably have a nice job that allows you to play how you want.
@kma2k
Yeah, same with Gamestop. Just get the Kindle card, and on the bottom it says it can be used across Amazon.
If the credit can be used for Amazon cards, then that's where I'm going from now on. That's what I do at Gamestop, but if I can get more for my games then no reason not to.
Hacking wouldn't be necessary. You know the full source code is available to all subscribers to mess with, right?
We're going to see some awesome things thanks to that.
As someone who has signed up, I'm having a wonderful time with the new engine.
Funny, because in this world they actually do.
You don't have to believe me, but it doesn't change fact. Seriously, talk to some devs. I've researched it heavily for my own game that's (hopefully) releasing by the end of the year.
Steam is one of the few places where devs/publishers have little real say in what goes on sale. Rockstar might have more pull, but I know from my discussions with Jason Rubin, when THQ was still alive, and talking to...
Again, I was so excited to see some drunk mocap. :(
Stupid spam, getting my hopes up...
Misread as "drunk" and was really excited until I reread.
I'd love to see drunk mocap, and the resulting animations. That'd be hilarious.
Disagree all you want, folk, but that's how it works. Ask any dev on Steam that you can get a hold of.
I'm not saying Rockstar isn't going to announce something, other signs say they will, just that there likely isn't a direct connection between the Rockstar sale on Steam and an impending announcement.
Not on Steam, but Valve is the big decider on that stuff. They'll work with publishers, but they can choose to put anything on sale whenever they want, or deny it.
Rockstar games are frequently on sale on other sites, like GMG or Gamefly Digital, where it's usually the publisher who chooses to do the sale.
N-no... gearing up for a release on Source SDK 2013.
There should be no problem with a homosexual protagonist, as long as that isn't the point. If the character just happens to be gay, sure.
Take any male protagonist that isn't trying for a relationship with a girl in a game, consider them gay, and ask yourself, "Does it really change anything?" Or even a step further, if there's a brief sweet moment between him and another dude, then whatever, but don't be like "HEY, THIS CHARACTER IS GAY AND IT...
If that's your threshold, then that's your own self and no one should expect you to do any different.
Personally, I've gone up to 4 hours trying to get into something before deciding to call it quits. Sometimes it does indeed take 2 hours for something in a game to really grab me, but I do have have the expectation that a game should be able to within the first 30 minutes.
