It would be, if not for the fact that you *need* some way to do more than just move your hands.
That's always been my one hang-up with Kinect, because it's incredibly limiting in character movement. It either needs to be on-rails, or have awkward gestures for movement. Hands-only isn't the best way to go.
Ideally, we'd all have the Omni treadmills, in which case Kinect would be just fine, but that's not going to happen any time soon.
Great demo. Using the Move controllers with it seems like a perfect pairing.
Fallon's whole shtick is acting overwhelmed and clueless. I don't like watching him...
Because it looks mostly like simple post-processing effects. Nothing to special, really. If modders can get in and start doing actual changes, not just a nice sheen over the top, then we'll get something good.
Many IPs go with "Ex" for style, like Jason X.
The costs for the theater would be fairly limited. It wouldn't be much different if it were a regular movie, really.
When you buy a ticket, the theater gets a tiny amount of that, if any at all. Major theater chains have better deals, but my local, small-town theater doesn't even get a cut of ticket sales.
That's why concessions are so costly.
I hope that's not the only goodie they'll give because I don't have a PS4 yet.
Winning =/= win.
Someone can be in the lead and be overtaken, like how the 360 was winning most of last gen, but has been overtaken by the PS3.
Or they could be talking about their own opinion of what it needs to solidify itself as THE best, no question.
Either way, there are likely situations where the headline makes absolute sense.
EDIT: At the end of the article,
"What else would you add to the PS4 to make it ...
Well... phoo. As a developer on a similar project, we're going to need to make even more of an effort to set ourselves apart.
Breakdown itself wasn't totally, but it was something that needed to be part of the base game. It barely changed anything. You could have nearly the DLC by disabling the missions in the main game.
Moreso, State of Decay AND Breakdown were a waste, when Breakdown should have been a feature of the main game. You pay extra to do something that should've been a part of it already.
Breakdown was such a waste of money, in my opinion. State of Decay had so much potential, so I really hope this is good DLC. I liked the main game for the most part though.
Now I get to be even more pissed off at my graphics team for our game.
We've got robot dinos, but nowhere near completion because my guys are lazy jerks. Wish I could do more than program...
A friend was going to get theirs to go with in Seattle and it's all wait-listing now. :(
Going to Seattle. I am so excited.
Same. Can't freaking wait.
Honestly, I was expecting gorgeous visuals with "ex-Pixar", but it looks like it could be fun.
If developers thought that AMD solutions were better, they'd use them. As the consumers, we don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes and with Nvidia and their tools constantly being picked up by devs, they're obviously doing something right.
PhysX is generally better than Havok, in my opinion, especially for softbody physics. And if you keep up with what Nvidia has been showcasing, there's a lot that's already available that's so much bette...
Frankly, I think it's great what they're doing. Nvidia is innovating and pushing technology, at least in the eyes of developers, so their tools are getting picked up.
If AMD wants to fight back, they should try harder. That's just business.

Euphoria also made Force Unleashed much better than it otherwise would have been. The first time I saw the tech demos for Euphoria/TFU (and bits before that for Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings), I was in awe. I ended up toying around with Endorphin on my computer and that was pretty nifty stuff.
I'm hoping someone else comes out with some crazy amazing physics engine like Euphoria since Zynga purchased NaturalMotion, owner of the technology.

Saw a kid in Gamestop the other day who was getting a PS4. His mom asked, "Why not another Xbox, you liked that one most" (I assume referring to the kid preferring the 360 before). He said, "Nonono, I want the Playstation 4. It's stronger!"
Kind of annoying occurrence, with how kids can be (loud mostly), but shows that kids are wanting it for the power, even though they probably have no idea what that actually means.
