Max Payne 3 made it to PC pretty successfully.

After GTA IV, Rockstar made a point to say that they'll try to do better for PC and they showed they would with MP3. While the game itself didn't feel like Max Payne to me, it was a solid game with little to no issues on PC.

Haven't played Watch Dogs yet, but the one thing that would put GTA V above all else for me for a long time, I'm sure, would have been stealth that wasn't just tacked on.

You hardly use stealth, and if you ever want to outside of a mission, what's the point? You fire your gun into the only person you see for miles out in the wilderness with no one to hear it, suddenly you're wanted. Stealth is non-existent in GTA V, despite there even being a stealth skil...

I despise Call of Duty, but it can't be denied that the franchise is responsible for a major shift in general game appeal.

I'm not saying Nintendo needs to come out with violent shooters and war games, but they do need to understand that they're pitching to a different kind of crowd. This E3 shows they're taking a step in the right direction, but it will take more than what they've announced and I'm sure they have plenty unannounced to offer soon. They...

@eyeofcore
That's great and all, but those are not for the mainstream gamers of today.

When the Wii first came out, those would have been some great system sellers, but they're mostly for kids now. Even then, many kids are into darker games on XB1 or PS4 now.

Nintendo excelled last gen by catering almost exclusively to families, but the landscape has changed since then and sales reflect that.

Microsoft didn't see this at t...

It's going to take some serious effort, though.

As much as I love Nintendo and their games, they need to be sure to understand that the general gaming audience has changed.

Casual gamers are not as casual as they used to be, thanks to the rise of Call of Duty and similar games.

I hope they can pull themselves up because I've been considering a Wii U...

What stupid site is this? No explanation offered for meaning, just lists with a title and a brief description of each game with no real point.

Thankfully with the architecture of the new gen of consoles, PC being the lead platform is going to be even more common than last gen.

All gamers are going to benefit.

He's depressed as an artist seeing something else beautiful from someone else.

It's like making something in school as a kid and you love what you've done, you love the design and what you did with your piece of macaroni and glitter, but then you see someone else's piece and see how beautifully they arranged it with their macaroni and glitter, and you feel this twinge of awe, respect and a little depression that they've done something so awesome.

I don't have a PS4, but have the E3 Experience (Sony's theater thing) code for the Destiny alpha and BF:Hardline beta.

Kind of seems like it was a waste. They should've assumed that not all theater attendees would have PS4s...

Morpheus is debatable, though the concept has been worked on and in development for a long time, at least since the Virtual Boy. With the way technology is moving, it only makes sense to try VR again. The Rift was just the first to be announced, but I'm sure Sony (and probably both Nintendo and Microsoft) had been doing R&D on it just as long, if not longer.

Sony demoed Move tech with the PS2 Eye long before Wii was unveiled. They spent that time refining it, but deci...

For online, sure, but Microsoft already had that sort of infrastructure set up from the computer business. Not that it's a bad thing. In fact, it was a very good thing.

As far as physical consoles and how they operate, Microsoft's original Xbox obviously had to rip some from Sony and Nintendo, they were new to the game and really had no choice, but they brilliantly brought along technical PC concepts that changed things.

All three have innovated quite...

Also going to be overseen by Disney, who has been taking quality in games very seriously lately.

It is a difference that matters though, in a marketing sense.

It's much easier to push an accessory as a necessary piece of a whole experience rather than another system.

It's like "You need this to make the PS experience the best it can be, plus you get some games you wouldn't have been able to play otherwise!" (which isn't entirely false)

vs.

"We have another platform that isn't necess...

Only Bloodborne, Dead Island 2, and Let It Die were CG. I haven't even watched Microsoft's yet (was in the city all day yesterday for Sony's theater thing), so I can't compare, but 3 CG trailers didn't strike me as "many".

About TV, I see no issue with Sony trying to provide quality content. They're using the PS environment as a platform for their own entertainment, not as a DVR/Set-top.

I welcome Microsoft doing the same, they just chose not to talk about it. Though, I may be different from most hardcore gamers because I absolutely love this sort of thing.

What I was very happy to see in regards to TV is Sony TV + PS Now. Not so much for myself, but it's a brilliant mo...

It's kind of the downside of the new era of news, where everything has to be delivered *NOW*. The attention comes not from quality, but quantity.

In print, quality made success. It's not so much the case these days.

Saw that in the comments on IGN. Was quite humorous there, but a blatant rip is not as funny.
