Where's Anonymous when you really need them?
I read the first sentence and thought "that's just dumb". "unforgivable" heh.
Teen Slayer lol.
@zuul9018 I'm an old guy ( wondering if I'll live long enough to see the next Elder Scrolls get released ^^well, almost) but I didn't think I was so out of touch with the culture that I was unaware people would value hardware over being able to play with their friends. Thanks for your support. I was surprised at all the down votes over what I thought was a reasonable human response.
The most important reason to get an Xbox : friends. If all of your friends have them that is the best reason to get one.
That's the beauty of it. If you have a PS4, Switch and gaming PC you have everything covered. I like checking Game Informer every month to see that there are almost no games that aren't covered by my hardware. It's amusing to hear 'better graphics' and 'more power' as arguments when PC can beat anything the consoles have and has backwards compatibility that can't be touched. You can still play Zork on PC.
I don't know of any other consumer product where the idea is to make the product something that people will buy and then see how many undesirable things they can add (MT etc) and still be able to sell it.
Let's not forget that the companies that produced and sold games in the past didn't have to support the enormous multi-million dollar salaries of corporate executives and bunches of investors that demand large returns on investments. The guys in charge now have spent their lives in pursuit of profit, not just making a living producing games. It's what they do.
Selling an expansion that was up for GOTY (don't know if it won) doesn't seem like an issue to me. Any of those free ones come close to that? Which of the EA or Ubi free expansions were close to that?
@Rachel_Alucard "Against stupidity, the Gods themselves, contend in vain". You may as well give up because he is now - la la la can't hear you - la la la can't hear you
That would be great under Communism. There would be a console for all people that play all games for all people. The only way exclusives would go away would be through a government mandate because Capitalism demands that you try to be better than the competition and exclusives seem to be the biggest way to do that. XBoxers seem to be a new SJW category that require protection.
More like Bioshock Splicers than zombies.
Sounds like poor engineering design. There should be only one way to plug it in and it shouldn't require a lot of thought to get it right.
When 'train to the zone' stopped being an issue the game just fell apart. I loved the fear of losing a level and new equipment being unequiped. Now it's just another MMO.
Multiplayer games are like reality tv shows. There are lots of them because they require less creative talent and far fewer dollars to produce while keeping the masses entertained. If reality tv shows were all that were available I would quit watching tv. If Multiplayer only game are all that are available I'll quit playing new games and keep replaying the old ones.
That is my setup. I haven't played anything on the Switch yet but I'm hoping for good things to come. If you didn't have the switch (or wii) no Zelda. If you didn't have PC then no Divinity Original Sin 2. No Ps4 then no Horizon: Zero Dawn. So many hours of wonder.
“CD PROJEKT made the right call going all in on next gen.” - CD Projeckt made the right call going all in developing a great game. I don't think the hardware made the big difference.
Obviously they haven't gone to Nexus Mods.
@InTheZoneAC - LSW (Long Suffering Wife) left like 15 years ago so I am King of the bathroom.
"paying for a lacking service that doesn’t offer as much functionality as the competition" - must not have heard about Steam.
