We might finally see what the Librarian did to Chief back in Halo 4, sweet

Nvidia's RTX also uses DXR.

Game Pass and Project X Cloud on Switch...

Is that better or worse for Switch's battery life than dedicated processing? I'm definitely more surprised hearing this before rumors of like a Switch-like Xbox, too. MS could easily have something as powerful as a One S be portable with decent battery come 2020.

Cool, then you should be able to paste the quote from the article right here...

People like you happened - people crying wolf about things that aren't happening.

Yeah yeah, I've been hearing that since GTA SA's Hot Coffee fiasco and even before when games were blamed for the Columbine shooting.

Are you serious?

They tone down the e-titties and you cry SJW-oh-no-boo-hoo? Have you seen how gory the trailer is? The bones and the guts everywhere? MK was never about sex, it was about the blood, and it's as gory as ever.

Yeah, and I'm pointing out how it's delusional to suggest there's any industry collapse through your cherry picking of (1) a spin-off no one asked for that just so happens to follow immediately after one of Ubisoft's most successful titles ever, and (2) your references of other poor-reviewed titles that function as GaaS

So instead of specialized cores intended for a specific task, you want enough raw power to have the same end result?

That's an *extremely* expensive GPU you're asking for now! That's why these core exist the way they do.

Don't ya know, spice? After a successful 2018 in every way, one sales report on a not-asked-for Spin Off is enough to declare total industry collapse.

No. Not at all. You only read the headline.

"For the current generation – yes, multiple solutions is the way to go."

"Those calculations can be done in standard compute if the computer cores are numerous and fast enough (which we believe they will be on the next gen consoles)"

We do not have standard hardware today that by itself is fast enough to handle the computations required for *playable* Ray Tracing. He states...

Far Cry 5 just one year ago sold $310m in its early launch days. Franchise best, and only behind The Division for Ubisoft's entire history.
The Division 2 is seeing 6x higher preorders on PC than the original game.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey outsold Origins at launch, which itself had double the launch sales of Syndicate.
Crackdown 3 is the terrible sequel to the very-average Crackdown 2, which only existed because Crackdown 1 sold well for basically being a f...

Yes it is. They're an employer, unless you expect them/any company to thrive with 100% contractors who have no incentive or loyalty to make that company look good.

Forcing Frostbite was a bad decision sure, but come on, the issues go further than the engine. They had an entire generation to think this game through.

- They decided on a game design that included these loading screens displayed in this way. They couldn't even play a generic video, just a static info screen.
- This is now Bioware's third Frostbite game; they are 3/3 with open world games on Frostbite as well (ME:A, DA:I, now this)
- Bioware knew ...

The 5 (so far) disagrees come from the people who lose their cool when the competition announces even an article of clothing they don't like.

Considering how profitable, successful, and ubiquitous LEGOs are, essentially unrivaled with true competition for many many decades... who *wouldn't* want to be the Lego of gaming?

Wind Waker HD had a lot of the tedium from the final section of the game stripped out and had a boost to sailing speed (or something similar, maybe wind direction?) that made it a ton more fun to play than its original Gamecube version.

People love finding something to whine over. It's Nintendo; those same people were probably the ones crying "Switch will flop at $299 it's underpowered" and... well, the past 23 months speak volumes to that.

It's the most affordable and has the most-simple use case: working on the console you already have. It won by default, and it works well-enough with PS3-era Move controllers.

Oculus is still the Gen1 headset and has to deal with consumer trust regarding Facebook. FB can go eat a pinecone - I'll never own one for that reason alone.

HTC Vive seems to be the only thing keeping Steam VR afloat but they're a consumer nightmare by increasing (!) cos...

It is a declining state of the world when you can't stand the idea of other adults spending money on things they may find comfortable.

Did you not put your baby into a shirt or pants because shirts and pants are designed for children and adults?

Or would that mean... Like onesies and pajama suits... They can be designed for people of all age groups, including babies? With styles and brands that market to those specific age groups? 🤣🤣

2669d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

This isn't designed for babies.

You poor child, wait until you learn that they make super hero boxers and athletic wear 🤣 or attend your first adult Halloween party.
