xCloud will at least have a physical equivalent with them all being Xbox supported titles.
Stadia has none of that ability, and Google is even less reliable than Microsoft when it comes to how long they'll support anything (Hangouts, Wave, Inbox, Trips, Plus, YouTube Gaming, certain Android initiatives, Fiber, Allo, etc etc)
Have there been any Xbox 360-era games Microsoft has taken offline? I still recall there being active (no matter how small) communities on OG Halo 3 (even after MCC) and Halo Reach.
It's a shame when things like this happen. Hopefully backwards compatibility will lead us and Sony down a path where they can have frameworks in place to dynamically scale servers based on player count, instead of arbitrary EoL on those games.
Idk naruga, people are *already* starting to use 2019 COD MW as an example of single player done right, just based on that initial trailer alone. The single-player blinders are on so strong with some people here that all it takes is a glam shot and they'll immediately forget the last decade.
Sega allowed the movie Sonic to look like that, as well. That was so recent!
One trailer of a reboot so soon after a cash-in remaster has you converted, huh?
R6S was never intended to be a solo experience. They've stated there won't be a Siege sequel. Welcome to an uncompromised GaaS title - it stuck to its guns and it is reaping the benefits with a healthy playerbase.
Unlike Fortnite, which ditched its original PVE experiment as soon as the BR experiment started making more...
Xbox and PS Controller Support.
Mac Store will get iPad Apps (in single-day conversions).
iPad is officially its own OS.
The App Store is the single largest app/game distribution platform in the history of humanity, and will have a pass called Apple Arcade.
Thank goodness Apple went this route instead of creating a new input pad. Best for compatibility to third parties and for their own native library. Huge win!
PS Now is a streaming service with regards to PC. Microsoft hasn't announced pricing or platform availability for their equivalent of xCloud.
This is different - physical downloads you keep on your device. With a potentially-different library than Xbox.
It would be *nice* if it was one subscription (especially since they share the name), but it wouldn't be shady since this is not comparable at all to PS Now.
Stop being a bitter little queen, sushimama. This isn't an article about Sony; it's an article about Xbox expanding its reach (which is objectively beneficial to every gamer, regardless of your personal device-specific gaming preferences).
The KB/M & Controller issue was resolved years ago, so that anti-cross-play narrative that naysayers like you spout is fake news BS.
Let the players play with who they want when it's just for fun. Social playlist - it's social, unranked, KB/M or Controller doesn't matter. Ranked play, yes, filter by input or platform type. This is not a difficult concept to grasp in 2019, and it surely wasn't 2 and a half years ago when Gears of War 4 did it based on suc...
Sounds like the post of someone upset they're being labeled and they don't wanna because it's their parent's fault.
If you can't afford a $300 console you can't afford a $10-$15/month subscription?
Are you joking? Lol I guess everyone who subscribes to Netflix may as well buy a Switch since it's so comparable.
Thats, ya know, kinda the point of this? Their improvements in rendering allow for hair like this at decent framerates. The heck is the point of a tech demo if it's a stuttering choppy mess full of techniques too demanding?
If you want developers to only focus on framerate then I suggest you play your next PC games on low settings.
The next Xbox will be interesting when unveiled because MS has hinted at and rumors consistently point to two SKUs right out the gate with one being especially powerful.
K gurl. Wait until you learn that lesbians exist in real life.
If you remember/read Eurogamer's articles on AC Odyssey's performance, it wasn't much higher than the Xbox One X's already-high input latency.
Multiplayer games may not be the most well-suited, but the typical 30fps console-oriented single player games, especially those like Odyssey, Hellblade, Tomb Raider and so on, should be acceptable on the service, especially with them being powered by a 10 TFLOP machine.
This is an opinion piece. The guy isn't being inaccurate in his opinion piece.
Now this guy is being attacked. Who's the real bad guy here? The guy writing an *opinion* article about a physical defect, or the people going out of their way to respond to something that doesn't and will never affect them?
(I don't care for the article, but JFC N4G, learn some self-awareness here. Giving this article this much negative attention is exactly WHY...
First time hearing about something is that something being cancelled. Probably won't want to keep an eye out...
Based on his other articles... Regurgitating press releases and other marketing announcements into articles (90% of gaming journalism)... Soooo much power, yeah. Fear his influence.
MS told them to make this...
If you watched the trailer, live testing is going to start in 3 weeks. You can't really think that MS commissioned them to make this type of game when they've owned them for only a year.
Ninja Theory takes much longer than that... More likely is they had prototypes of this and MS threw their money at it. It doesn't look terrible, but... This is not at all where I expected NT to branch after the (IMO) masterpiece th...
