You guys realise that this is just teaser for the gameplay trailer that is coming out in ~ 30 minutes don't you?
You cant compare CPU bandwith to RAM bandwith, because the CPU has to compute information, the ram doesn't. In any case, heres some stats for you. Bandwith of the PS3's RSX: 22.4GB/s. Bandwith of GTX 300: 300-370GB/s. Texture fill rate of RSX: 13.2GTexels/s. Texure fill rate of GTX 300 ~90GTexels/s. Ouch!
Uncharted 2 is my favourite game but it will never be up there with uncharted 2. WTF?
"Dusty old DVD", Crysis says hello directly from my DVD drive. The problem is more the fact that it has no hardrive in the arcade model than the available space on a DVD...
Either way, you could tell right from the first screens that the game (Ensalved) was gonna be nowhere near the graphics level of UC2, it looks pretty much the same as Heavenly Sword to be honest.
Trying to be realistic? So what your saying is that it is realistic that an elite soldier (ie Sev) can't fire an very advanced assault rifle with even the same accuracy as a drunk man going to the pisser?
The sluggish controls in Killzone 2 do not make the game better. They add weight I hear people say, yes, but why so much? I dunno about you, but even when I'm holding some pretty heavy stuff in my hands, I can still turn pretty quickly.
They sh...
Bro, you can see the sniper scope on it, that thing must be atleast 100x zoom lol, its huge. Also, it looks a bit like a future M95.
You realise Crysis had a train level, and non scripted destruction, and better graphics, and better physics(including rope physics). Also, CryEgnine 2 introduced more features interms of lighting/physics than any game engine has since CryEngine 1, what you think of as 'traditional', was probably invented by Crytek. Let me run you some of the features of CryEngine 2 that newer engines are now copying: HDR lighting, SSAO, volumetric clouds, paralax oclusion mapping, subsurface scatterin...
Then wait for E3...
Sure, the maximum number of players will not increase beyond the number of new sales (ignoring pirating), but the problem is not so much maximum numbers, it is the cost of maintaining the servers for people who did not pay in te first place.
You would agree, I hope, that most people trade in games because they don't like them or have something else to move on with. Either way, they will not be playig the game if they do not resell the game. So someone playing a used copy ...
The people who hastily point out that the publisher no longer owns the game once it has been sold are right, but shouldn't be so quick to use this as their major argument. Look at the art industry (as in paintings). Once the artists sells his/her work, they still get a cut from every subsequent sale of the painting. Taking this into consideration, given that the used game market is causing problems for the industry, it is hard to fathom a logical argument as to why publishers/producers sh...
Clearly the 360 can pull of Alan Wake, the game, afterall, is exclusive to 360...
Crappy list, where is Medal of Honor, Crysis 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo Reach, Bad Company 2, and BioShock 2? Surely arguments can be made for all of these games being the best of year (in the case of the unreleased games, past games in the series' give a hint at the expected quality, all should be very high)?
As opposed to Mario......
You could be right. Sony America recently said that they were working on a hardcore zombie game, would be very surprised if it was not to do with that.
Sony and its studios have a history of simply saying something doesn't exist and the announcing it a few weeks later, so I don't see what your problem is...
PS: That list looks insane, can't wait to get my hands on it, and some of the user levels that will come from it!
We'll have to see what? If Ubisoft have a brain? Does Ubisoft want a fatter wallet? What is the problem with porting the games to PS3? It's simply not a big enough franchise to be viable as a console exclusive. Even if it is for this gen, what happens next generation when some 360 owners choose to go to the PS4, then you'll be loosing your market, because the PS3 owners shopping to Xbox 3 will not be fans of the series.
Third party franchise exclusivity = stupid move.
These people simply don't get it do they? While I in no way condone piracy, they are shooting themselves in the foot by sticking over the top DRM restraints on their games, because people get turned off by this. So unless they can actually get some DRM that takes a lot longer to crack, then all they are doing is lowering paid sales of the games.
Yeah I'm not sure everyone did know this. However, it is safe to say that everyone who doesn't have their head up there rear-end did.
News just in, piracy rates just sky-rocketed...
It's a better thing for ps3 + X360 + Wii + PC owners, but your point holds true...
