It wont be seen until late next year. Insomniac have learnt from Resistance 2 that they can't make a super high quality shooter in 2 years when you have shared development with another game. Resistance 3 will be all the better for the extended development time frame.
You see the thing is, Dual Shock 3 controllers run for $90 in australia, which is equivalent to US$75-80. And as I'm sure you know, they only support 1 player. So I'm gonna need 2 DS3's, which = roughly $150. I own 2 DS3's and 2 Six-axis controllers (which I got before DS3).

I think GOW III was a welcome addition to the series, but do you not think they could have done more to differentiate the game from previous titles in the franchise? Its not just shooters, games like the new Prince of Persia's have had somewhat dissapointing boss battles, although I have still enjoyed both the PS3/360 games (I'm seemingly alone in the world as someone who liked the 2008 Prince Of Persia).
Other non-shooters with dissapointing 'boss battles' are games like Dirt 2, the 1 on 1 races against your main competitors were far too easy unless you pump the difficulty right up to full, and even then...

Yeah, move currently sits around 50th on the ps3 only chart, where as Kinect is at 8th overall. Seems bizarre, not surprising coming from you Americans though :)
I've gotta say Move is looking good, the precision is just amazing, and there isn't a bad line up of games for it. Will probably pick it up when Socom lands, ut that's not to say that the other move games don't interest me, just Socom interests me enough to make me really want move.

100 people is not a large enough sample size for any statistically significant results. I any case, that means that 10 million current xbox owners would consider buying kinect, which is extraordinary given the games that have been announced are not at all aimed at the consoles main market. The new buyer market is going to be larger than existing owners for Kinect.

I think the 360 fanboys are actually just taking the denial of existence route with kinect. They are just going to go round telling everyone that it's been killed off, that way they can still claim the 360 is the hardcore console.

Try playing any Battlefield... 2142 was particularly bad, with choppers falling through decks, constant server issues, constant crash to desktop issues, wall hacks, lag, poor knife hit detection.
While they have fixed a lot of these issues in recent games, BC2's lag is worse than ever, and the hit detection is so unbelievably bad, especially with the knife, that I can no longer muster up the courage to play the game. Considering I've reached top rank in every battlef...
What's wrong with that? Assassins 2 was an astonishingly good game, I see no reason why brotherhood won't be good. All previews I've seen have praised it. So why doesn't it deserve 5th place?

@ Morgan - I still have no idea what was so original about Killzone 2, can someone explain? It had generic guns, enemies, level design, multiplayer as far as I was concerned, but please explain what set it apart, and don't mention the unrealistically stiff controls, Operation Flashpoint did stiff controls years ago, only there's were realistically so.

@ Optical Matrix - Sure Sony has pushed those exclusives, but your list is too comprehensive. MNR was only exclusive cos Atlus were banking on LBP fans getting behind it, and the game failed hard in terms of sales. The problem Sony have is they have failed to create a large franchise. I may check it out but the whole RPG genre is not my sort of thing, and the ultra popular RPGs like FF, Fallout and Elder Scrolls just bore me to tears. I want to get into games like Fallout, I try so hard, but they just don't do it for me. However, I know that Demons Souls is a rather unique game, and I liked what I saw in trailers/gameplay vids, so it could be the game to get me into RPGs.

also has better physics, and graphics than kz2. Particle effects are especially much better in Crysis, such as explosions, smoke and fire are better
Yeah, but I think they should have given gamers a bit more than 1 & 1/2 months notice for the release date.
