I will bet any money that Apple will not release a device called the iPhone 5 this year. Why? We went for iPhone 3G to 3Gs. This time around we will go from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4G. You guessed it, the only new feautre will be 4G.
It's games like these that make me think that regulation of the gaming industry is neccesary. If a developer or publisher can't afford to or can't be bothered putting in the time to make sure the game is as good as it can be then they shouldn't be allowed to make it.
Looks good
It is clear that a lot of the textures were made with consoles in mind, or at least not with pushing PC hardware in mind. A lot of the texctures are very flat and quite blurry, there are certainly mroe flat textures in C2 than the original. Hopefully they really put some effort in to them and hopefully AMD can optimise the crossfire support for Crysis 2 a bit better so I can still max it with 2 5870's.
It was actually Cry-Adam who made the comment. What he actually said in english for those who care is "team working on DX11 aren't the same team working on textures and AI :)"
This of course makes it seem like they are going to release major upgrades in the way of AI (presumably for all platforms), DX11 and seperately a high-res texture patch. Hopefully we get all three within a month or two, otherwise for most people it will be too late.
How is my argument invalid? In the first one you have been trained to use the nanosuit before the game, it wasn't forced on you without training like in Crysis 2
You make some pretty invalid points such as complaining that they give you a lot of nanacatalyst right at the end of the game. This is because the suit upgrades carry over from one playthrough to the next.
Also how is it a downside that YOU decided to ignore some of the stealth upgrades and went for the ones you percieved to be better? Surely in a real world situation you would have to pick and choose what you think are going to be the best. Your in a fricken alien invasion ...
Smart man
Can someone explain why the Magicka Vietnam cover looks like it should be from Bad Company 2?
Both. They are varied but what I meant was they are largely recycled from other games which generally do them better.
Thats a substantial drop considering that it was retailing for $449 at the start of last year.
Not really, I had a look at the IGN review just now to see what you mean, and this what they said:
"This liberal use of fading between scenes, along with the occasional hiccup when loading, broke me out of the experience repeatedly, exacerbating the generally boring story."
The point that our reviews share, that the cutscenes break immersion is totally true, that is why we both mentioned it.
I don't see how you couldnt have no...
Well if cant listen to Microsofts main competitors boss, then who can you listen to?
He may be right though... I guess well see come E3
Thanks, I try and write more in depth reviews than the standard N4G user review so I'm glad someone appreciates it.
Reading through the review again I realize I've been quite negative where as I actually enjoyed the game. That's probably just because I feel that Killzone could be truly great with a bit more thought into the finer details, and the the finer details are really were Uncharted succeeds so perhaps they could get onto ND and have a chat about that.
When the entire purpose if this game is to promote Red Faction 4, it seems a bit ridiculous that they would release something of such low quality... EA did the same thing with Dead Space 2.
I still think its a bit infair to take away points because the graphics aren't the best of the year regardless of what the developer said. Developers will say things that are flat out lies if they think it will help promote the game.
If you are basing the score of 6.5/7.0 on the graphics from a purely technical stand point then that is probably too low because they are undoubtely in the top 10% on 360, which would suggest at least an 8/10. However, if you don't lik...
The review is so poor its not worth reading. It makes so many unexplained points that its clear the authour has something against the game. Here's some examples.
"Even aside from the fidelity, the design of "Independence Day" New York City has all the detail, destructible cover, and breathtaking set pieces that a modern shooter could dish out. Unfortunately, it's a little redundant." - No explanation off the back of this at all. How is it redunda...
You only have to watch Battlefield 3 Fault Line Episode 3 to realise just how obsessed with CoD they are.
Wish Crytek would add that to Crysis 2, I hate the way it highlights all the objects you look at.
