Since when do you hit space to shoot?
Oh yeah because Crysis and MGS are the same genre...
No Call of Duty this year? Obviously you haven't met Activision :)
There will be, as there will be every year for at least the next half decade.
But yes, it is looking like a bloody fantastic year for gaming. Even the usually boring May-August period is looking promising with Duke, Infamous 2, FEAR 3, Brink and Dirt 3 amongst other smaller releases.
@ Green. I get nothing from that link, but this one from UKIE (The official source), shows Crysis 2 is in first, Zumba in 2nd and Motorstorm in 17th rather than 20th. The chart is at http://www.ukie.info/conten...
Interestingly though not entirely surprisingly, Bulletstorm is already out of top 40 despite it coming with the Epic Games label.
I might not be in love with KZ3 exactly, but I have to commend Guerrilla on their post release support. It's good to see them resolving issues or adding things so frequently.
Perhaps non-biased PS3 owner plays Killzone 3 and has fun? :)
Just a few points. What would it matter in regards to selling DLC on consoles if they released a CryEngine SDK? Even if you could port things to consoles (I know it doesn't technically port anything) you will have to get the content passed by Sony and MS for it to be available to play and they wouldn't allow that.
Also, I would have rathered played the game a few months earlier and gotten a graphics update than had to wait a few more months for the release. If they de...
Everyone I know who played it loves it. The user score on meta is useless anyway. Any exclusive gets heaps of 0/10 scores from people on the other side who have never played it. Honestly what game deserves a 0?
In the case of Crysis 2, it's just a bunch of cry babies who are sad that it doesn't melt their GPUs.
On a side note, Homefront (user score of 5.9) is so much worse than Crysis 2 and even looks worse at max than C2 does at lowest settings. Jus...
I don't understand how I can have played 10 hours of the mp and not run into a single cheater...
Played a bit of Homefront today on PC. It's just a woefully clunky game. Why is everything so slow? Why can't I jump 10cm objects half the time?
On top of that, after just playing through Crysis 2 which does a great job of not constantly flooding you with enemies, it's almost a chore in homefront having to take out wave after wave of respawning enemies.
Multiplayer is boring and completely lacks atmosphere as well. Why is this game selling so we...
Well I don't agree with 94% of the game on that list.
In my view, a game like tetris isn't better than something like Red Dead because you don't get anything out of it. I play Red Dead or Uncharted or Crysis 2 and I have some sort of emotional connection with the characters in the case of Red Dead and Uncharted or with the environment and whats happening to the human race in terms of Crysis 2.
Tetris may be more fun (I'd still argue othe...
And not just your console/platform but also your favoutite game series for example. If a game I really like bombs hard enough that a sequel won't happen then of course I'd be disapointed. That is the extent to which I care about sales.
Funny how al the Crytek haters pounced on the article about Crytek not caring about hackers yet they don't wanna know about this one...
Good to see Crysis 2 out on top there for all formats and 360. Second on PC and 3rd on PS3 is a good effort as well.
Just finished the campaign, and although it was shorter than I was expecting, the back half was the flippin' awesome!
Yeah I know what the first was like. I've finished it 7 times for crying out loud. it's still fairly open from what ive played of C2 so far, so I'm not complaining. One thing I'll say is the battles feel more purposeful, it's not like your running into a random Korean outpost like in the first game.
New suit voice is just as cool as the first one, although I miss the "Maximum Game" vocal which accompanied the Crytek logo.
Lastly...
I honestly don't understand why PC gamers feel that Crysis has to stay only in hugely open environments. Is it realistic to expect that the aliens are only ever going to attack unpopulated islands in their quest to destroy us? No of course it isn't.
I feel that in many places Crysis 2 gives you more options or at least makes you think more before getting into a firefight that the original did. In Crysis you could approach every battle without really utilising your su...
Only because it is too small to show any details which may be (well, are...) lacking.
Hahaha. N4G, always good for a laugh when you're feeling down.
And yet it still out rates Killzone... That must make a lot of PS3 fanboys cry themselves to sleep :)
Anyway its like with GT5. Videos could be found showing great AI and videos can be found showing dumb AI.
Because EA don't own Crytek or Crysis and they don't want the Crysis franchise competing with their shooters.
