That's not what global illumination is. GI is effectively real time light bouncing
For about the first 2 weeks I was alright as I bought a few game on Steam during their sales for PC so I at least had them to play. But know that I'm done with them I'm looking forward to owning some noobs in CoD:BO or BF:BC2 and then playing online coop of Portal 2 with a mate. Only problem is I can't (I could play Portal 2 on PC except my mates PC sucks).
Oh well, I would rather they thoroughly test their system changes to make sure they are secure then have th...
There is nothing wrong with using the same base engine for 4 years so long as you add features regularly and refine code to make it run smoother. This is where they have failed so far, they have added none of the advanced graphical features that have been shown off in games like Crysis and Metro 2033 on PC and even on consoles games like Uncharted, Killzone and to an extent Gears have introduced over the 4 or so years since CoD4.
It will be interesting to see how well they h...
From the article: "Granted, we're led to believe that these do not represent the finished game and many, if not all of them were probably not meant for public consumption."
Did I do something to annoy you?
My list would probably be a lot different. I don't really get into RPG's so Elder Scrolls is gone for one, and Catherine just isn't my cup of tea at all.
I'm also not yet interested in Revelation yet after the dissapointment of Brotherhood. The thing that made ACII stand out for me was how complete the game felt, nothing really felt like they had rushed through it trying to reach a deadline. For me Brotherhood is just the complete opposite, too much repeated ...
So basically you are demanding that he concedes that the issue will probably fixed when it most likely won't seeing as they didn't for the first game?
I see hennessay's comments every so often and it is clear that he owns a PS3 and isn't a troll. Why would he want to recieve backlash for his opinion. Only a troll would want that as trolls thrive of fanboys who take things to seriously.
hennessay, you are absolutely right. It is ridiculous ho...
Funny that BO came out on the 9th then in the UK...
It won't, I would slap down a hundred big ones that it will come out on the 8th of November. CoD's traditionally are tuesday releases, and lately on second week of November. Guess what date fits that, the 8th!
"Luckily I didn't get sucked into the hype of BO"... Lol, you've clearly been sucked into the hype of BF3. You have no idea what that is going to be like online, it could suck major ass for all you know and yet you say they are revolutionising the formula. That is the definition of being sucked into hype right there.
How are DICE innovating with each of there games? What did Bad Company 2 to that had never been done before? Let me tell you, absolutely nothin...
Nudes for gamers has a nice ring to it.
Are you kidding? I reckon his performance was on of the best ever. Gould is a bit off though I'll admit.
Apart from the money issue, people don't realise just how large a 6 inch screen is. Even the PSP2 only has a 5 inch screen. At 6 inches plus analog sticks (and d-pad?) there is no way your average user could reach the centre of the screen without shifting grip constantly.
The thing about these "We are not liable for blah blah blah" clauses in contracts is that they are meaningless. If a court decides that according to the law they are liable, then the company is liable regardless of what it says in the contract.
It is brilliant online. True it is nothing entirely original but the level design and nanosuit certainly give it a very different feel to anything I've ever played. Its also insanely intense, at least on PC.
Sony: Pretty accurate except there is no way Sony would discontinue Move, and if so they wouldn't do it at E3.
Microsoft: Not excatly going out on a limb with any of them, but probably mostly accurate.
Nintendo: Don't care, but seems accurate enough.
EA: Definetly no Crysis on NGP. Crytek won't release Timesplitters 4 info until GamesCom. Crytek won't be making a Star Wars game. It was Crytek UK (formely Free Radical) you wer...
The VGChartz numbers are undoubtedly questionable at the least. However, The NPD sales figures for North America which are considered much more reliable clearly show that the Xbox 360 sells better in America than the PS3, and has done almost consistantly throughout its life.
According to NPD, in North America in 2010 the Xbox 360 sold 6.76 million (including 4.84 million in the last 6 months) while the PS3 sold 4.33 million (with 2.74 million in the last 6 months). So basica...
You must be aware that there are surely more people who would blindly say that Killzone or Uncharted look better than Crysis 2 because they are PS3 fanboys (PS3 fanboys being a large minority here).
I'm not saying Crysis 2 does look better than Killzone, GOW or UC2, in fact I think that the low resolution makes it look a bit worse. But to say that it is meh i to say that 99% of console games look like vomit.
Agree. For the sake of saving your self a few bucks you are starving the developer of any income
JB aren't as cheap as they used to be relative to some other retailers, although generally I think they are the best.
Game Australia has some really good deals online. For example I picked up Crysis 2 for $69 and just got Operation Flashpoint 3 today for $55. They even have Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat for $82 online with free shipping. In store they are shockingly expensive but they have good onlien deals.
EB, I don't know why anyway buys games from ...
Or for the last 20 years...
