Though I possess the capacity to appreciate what others love that I don't, I really don't see the big, knockout deal in Days Gone. I thought it was completely average as a game but with exceptional visuals.
The characters and writing were alright and the game, moment-to-moment, was alright. Decent loop, but nothing remarkable. The hordes were cool with the Sawmill being notable, but nothing else was notable to me.
I'd welcome a sequel to tie u...

"Graphics and art design are two different things."
I absolutely understand that, friend, but I would consider overall fidelity to be a combination of the two, even though they are indeed different. I guess I could say that I enjoy the overall look of all of the Soulsbourne games.
It doesn't bother me that these games aren't the most mindblowing at the technical level, and I actually appreciate and find charm ...
I wouldn't say I play for the fidelity, but I actually enjoy the graphics in Soulsbourne games. They have a certain charm that I've come to appreciate now - even dark grey tones of BB with all its chromatic aberration.
The sound of parrying, rolling, hitting, backstabbing; it's all what makes these games uniquely Souls.
What's sad is that this will likely be the superior product.
Commando - NES.
Think I was four when I first played it but I was very good at it.
Agreed.
I thought this was the one real weak point of the game. None of the dialogue had consequences and simply served the story, which was fine, but left something to be desired.
I thought the remake was disappointing in general.
This is absolutely next-gen and it's only going to get better.
YOU don't have a PS5?
I almost feel bad.
Alan Wake was an Xbox title and a great one in my opinion, but it was never, ever a flagship of the Xbox brand. I'm not sure you know the meaning of "flagship" after reading your comment.
Oh HELL YES!
Agreed.
This looks incredible and Guerrilla have raised the bar yet again by the looks of it. The animation work of the raptor-like machines is a sight to behold and all the effects look great.
Wow.
He's back...
This is fantastic.
Now, to secure that Series X...

I can't believe this could happen - it's unprecedented.
I've heard this from a few outlets, but they all say the game is still "hard" generally, which I like.
I think part of the "approachability" is the open-ended nature of the game; you can do things in the order you like to some extent.
I hope that's all it means because I live for From games and their style of difficulty.
Two of my DualSense controllers have drifted and I've already bought a third.
Not shitting on the DualSense - I love it - but I'm kinda chaffed over the high potential for this controller to become drift-afflicted so quickly.
They would only show penitence if the sales were underwhelming. They must be underwhelming. Hopefully they mean it when they say they're going to address the issues, because they really are unacceptable.
I wouldn't think it'd be hard to slap a new coat of paint on an old game, but what do I know? I know that this is subpar as I've been playing it and it's just very rough.
Feels like these submissions are trolling at this point.
