I loved the story and the gameplay.
I really loved the feeling I got when I crested that hill after the first big BT fight and Asylums started playing. I know I'm not alone in that.
Awesome.
I've been waiting on this announcement!
Aside from the environment it looks quite mediocre.
Friends.
This is the most common answer I receive when I post this question to players directly.
LOL.
"Elden Ring is a great game and great open world game but it's not the best Dark Souls type game. It does lose the atmosphere and some of what made Bloodborne and Dark Souls great by going open world."
I know that it's a souls style game in many ways, but Elden Ring is its own game with its own atmosphere. The idea that it "loses atmosphere" because it's not linear like Dark Souls is silly. Actually, it gains atmosphere - its own atmosphere....
PS5/XSX patch please.
Specialists are the last thing on the minds of BF fans.
When the game is such a mess overall, it's so absurd to talk about specialists.
This game looks like a blast.
Loved Until Dawn and I'm sure I'll love this.
By far the superior game, is it?
The charts and broad opinion certainly don't reflect that.
Edith Finch was so, so good. Absolute masterpiece. Everyone I've steered to it ended up loving it with some of them choking up over it. That story hits hard and the Lewis/Cannery segment is a masterpiece in and of itself.
The only masterpiece aspect of HFW would be its visuals for me. Hands down one of the best looking games I've ever played.
Everything else is underwhelming from the banal, archetypal characters and tribes to Aloy treating all her peers as if they were toddlers in the way. She's got this, c'mon now.
It's the typical nature of this game that's so off-putting to me, and it's got typical written all over it.
I agree.
The only thing I didn't like about PS3's design was how it strayed from the classic PlayStation font with the logo. Some things are better left untouched.
I absolutely desire to see a remaster or a remake similar to Demon's Souls. I get that people are tired of retreading, but this is Bloodborne, dammit.
Also, how you can literally gallop past certain bosses. With Dark Souls, you're not getting past an area until you defeat that boss. That's one thing.
While encounters are still difficult, being able to fight a boss, fresh, fully stocked with flasks, every time, without having to run the gauntlet to get back to it, is simply easier. Also, the Spirit Ash Summons.
Whether you want to call it a QoL improvement or whatever, the game is just downright...
Same engine as Bloodborne; basically a last-gen game.
There are downsides, but the upside is that they're really familiar with this engine and have mastered it.
Sony secured trust over the entire PS4 generation. Now that they've secured it, here come the predatory, non-gamer friendly microtransactions.
People had to have known this wouldn't and couldn't last.
This was quite irritating.
Props to G games for this major QoL improvement.
Been so long since I've had a good "Says Dev" article.
Yep!
