You're triggered over the Colbster? Have you ever known him to be serious?
"Phil Spencer single-handedly saved the games industry"
The guy adds some much needed levity to site if you ask me.
That's great. Frame rate has dogged us all gen - higher frame rate games are definitely welcome.
You think they want to actually read the article? Of course they don't - because acknowledging what's written in the article means they can't use its seemingly negative headline for 'gloomy' purposes.
They'd rather spin the headline into gloom for this Microsoft project.
That brilliant work of metroidvania may be Microsoft's best exclusive this generation.
They don't need to leave Halo and Gears behind, though to be honest I personally wouldn't mind if they did so in lieu of different, equally big pursuits.
Exciting new IPs is exactly what Xbox needs; this single big problem has been hanging over Xbox since 2014. I want them to go the route of Sony while still maintaining their established franchises.
It's simple really - just make more high budget games.
It's the way it's designed. Looks like Jesus Christ is about to erupt out of that thing.
It's not the worst custom I've seen - I like the minimalist nature. I'm not a fan of bold, in-your-face themed hardware.
I still wouldn't buy it though, as I prefer uniformity when it comes to my electronics - mainly pitch dark.
Why do we keep exhuming this corpse and looking at it?
This arrogant man can't be perceived to lose face.
He failed with "Lawbreakers" (name still gives me a chuckle) and going out like that isn't acceptable for a dude like Cliff. I knew he was full of it when he vowed to never make another game.
I'm not thrilled, but I am happy he has designs toward's loftier ideas than another run-of-the-mill battle royale game.
8K isn't dumb per se, but it 'would' be dumb for devs and console makers to focus on it now.
The snow and rock looked incredible in HZD, but the water was relatively poor. Looks to be the same situation here. Nice detail on rock, snow, and other areas, but the water is still equal to that of Far Cry 5's.
Assassin's Creed water has been very impressive with Origins and Odyssey.
Our bodies aren't ready yet - we just got our 4K TVs.
Good to hear that they're at least still very aware that traditional console gaming is beloved and that they should continue to pursue it. Now, get on those fresh, new IPS. Chop Chop.
I still need to complete P5, but a friend of mine who normally cruises through games with 100% completion spent 200+ hours playing it - got the platinum as well.
Not sure if that's excessive for P5 because I've barely scratched the surface.
Agreed.
MSGV is a very polished game with much (and I mean MUCH) better AI, which in turn makes the stealth gameplay superior.
While I enjoyed both games, the quality of craftsmanship of Days Gone was nil in comparison.
What's wrong with GameSpot interviewing Phil Spencer and learning about what Microsoft's target is for the next console? How is that shilling, exactly? How is that shilling at all?
Seek help.
Marty O'Donnell.
I'll play any game that draws inspiration from River City Ransom.
My most fond memories are of the original game on 360. Hosting and shotgunning - didn't get any more ridiculous than that. I almost always hosted and people got so angry. My score would be in the twenties and the rest of the team made three kills if they were lucky.
Ahh, the days.
@ harmny and Master
Gotta be honest - 343 are no Naughty Dog - not even close. Naughty Dog are unmatched in narrative storytelling and game play. Halo 4 in my opinion was awful, and Halo 5's campaign was equally so. Thankfully it had some fun multiplayer.
Naughty Dog replaces great talent as it leaves - their standards are insanely high. I've read their job postings and even those are intense.
