I understand that, and I'm for the gamer, but at the end of the day we can't escape that business is business and Microsoft is shrewd - and they're going to take the easy way unfortunately.
I support gamers, but I also respect that business is business. What would you do in their shoes - respect the gamers or operate shrewdly?
Furthermore, what do you think Sony would do if their finances and situations were reversed?
I'm surprised (and not) that people are angry over Microsoft tightening their grip over The Outer Worlds when they own the studio that's developing it.
How else should it be?
It's so strange to see a post like this on a site filled with groupthink.
Yep.
That's good to hear. I hope it turns out to be a success 'and' a successful franchise - that'd be fantastic.
I don't think God of War was as inspired by the The Last of Us as much as some believe. Yes, you look after and protect a child, but in my opinion that's where the significant similarities end.
Agreed. They definitely made the right decision. I prefer suspension of disbelief over having to redo a section over and over because my AI companion keeps being spotted.
Yeah, the only thing that can cure that is AI improvement, but that isn't easy.
Yeah, that... I think I'm just done.
Next, people will be clamoring for rights for crash test dummies.
Anything - advancement in general. Adversarial nations are only catching up (again generally speaking) while we fumble around with our nonsense.
You're not wrong about the Ellie sneaking in front of people immersion breaking thing, but I could overlook that because I enjoyed everything else just so damn much.
Sorry you couldn't derive the satisfaction out of it that I did.
Naughty Dog is the crème de la crème of game studios. Unmatched and unrivaled, I only see them getting better as the years pass - this is a studio that accepts only the very best, so as great talent leaves, other great talent will replace it.
Naughty Dog are the bar.
Same, and I beat Grounded and Grounded+ on both versions. Couldn't get enough.
While other countries are gearing up, the West is worried about who can use what bathroom. How were these total screwballs allowed to rise?
The execution of everything.
The storytelling and pacing were so on point and the gameplay was a blast. Fighting the infected was a joy - especially brawling with them. Stealth sections were incredibly tense as well.
If I could play only one more game before my death, it would be The Last of Us 2.
Wonderful.
I'd love that myself.
Good distinction; glad you made it.
Some solid points here, but saying that 'power' is all other consoles do is just nonsense.
Sweet shots, and why hasn't there been a comment condemning gamingbolt yet?
