PlayStation fans have always liked Insomniac, except for that one time they went off to make a game for Xbox. "Sunset Overhype" was a term used well in advance of the game's actual release, which is telling. You know nothing about a game but will lambaste it, because it was exclusive to Xbox.
I'd classify that type of person as a fair weather fan in this context.
I'm not pretending studios are sitting around doing nothing - I know they're working.
However, are their studios making games to rival that of Sony's first party, and if so how many are in development? Also, when can we expect to see game play, and roughly when can we expect release?
What I'm asking is for Microsoft to show us what Playground is working on, and what Compulsion is working on, and what Undead Labs are working on, etc - that&...
They're not struggling financially; they're just not as wealthy a corporation as some others. Sony's got plenty of irons in the fire - they're doing fine - and they're doing wonderfully with PlayStation.
I don't accept this, and we shouldn't be talking about who does what and who's effective at Microsoft, we should be demanding to know what they're working on in terms of games. It's come to that.
I don't mean to tell you what you should and shouldn't talk about, it's just that I believe with all my being that we're far past discussing the players at Microsoft and should simply be demanding to know what's afoot at Microsoft and Xbox.
We just want to see big games, Microsoft. Big games. Stop talking and start showing. When you don't show us anything you're doing, we have no reason to be excited and get on board. It's as simple as that, really.
PC enthusiasts are similar in many ways to car enthusiasts, especially if they have mechanical knowledge. They like picking their pieces, putting them together, and testing systems - it's a constructive a (pet) project that isn't mandatory and is also fun, or maybe they do it for a living. Enjoyable in any case.
You spend money, you build, you throw in a little panache on the casing, and you have a personal work of art. Then you can have fun comparing the power of y...
"The point I am making is that everything Microsoft says is total B.S. they just say whatever they think people want to hear."
I disagree. They don't even do 'that.' They don't say what I want to hear. Until they start showing us a batch of upcoming Microsoft exclusives, I honestly don't even want to hear them talk. You want to talk about the specs of your upcoming console, fine.
I like the Xbox brand, ecosystem, controller,...
Did you give them a proper English welcome?
Downloading now.
Yeah, I too noticed that in the 4K uploads by IW. Has that familiar reconstructed look reminiscent of RDR2.
Innovation. I like it :)
I suspect Sony is going to encourage the immediate continuation of Spider-Man as the first one was so damn successful.
The PS4 was the most stable console in the known universe so it stands to reason that the PS5 will be equally or even 'more' stable.
I don't know what I'm more excited for; The Last of Us 2 or Cyberpunk 2077.
All I know is that this generation is closing out brilliantly.
This was fairly known but still nice to hear. Better CPUs and higher frame rates are essential.
Disney are ridiculous.
Are you trying to say that life goes on?
They don't want to hear that; it's easier and more fun to just be outraged at Microsoft.
I never liked the idea of Kinect either and never really used it, but I'm an informed person who knows what's going on in this age of hyperconnectivity.
The Last of Us, Witcher 3, Fallout 3 to name a few.
I haven't seen enough of Playground's work to make such a claim, and the jury's still out on Obsidian, imo. Both need more time and games in their portfolio - again imo.
I've played many Insomniac games, and have enjoyed them all. They're quite proven.
