That aside, Death Stranding has some great actors involved in it - from Mads Mikkelsen to Margaret Qualley. He's got good taste in actors and actresses.

In all seriousness, I think Death Stranding has a much better chance at GoTY than Gears 5, though as of now DS is highly polarized due to weirdness, probably too much walking, and general opacity.
Series in their fifth iteration seldom win GoTY awards because by that point they're stale no matter how good they are.
I'm hopeful for Gears 5 and the tech test was great, but unless the campaign pulls a rabbit out of its ass (which I don't think it can do) I doubt this will be anyone's GoTY.
PlayStation will continue to have exclusives, though we may see some of the smaller properties on other platforms. That may change and Sony may push further, but let's not reach.
I think Sony will stay traditional for quite some time.
I'm sure Phil already knows of this milestone - by virtue of his position he's kept apprised of the goings-on in the industry.
Hopefully Microsoft adopts Sony's traditional approach and delivers some of their own slam dunks next gen.
Happy to see Insomniac doing so well - they're a great studio that make games with some of the best game play out there. I'm going to start Spider-Man this weekend and I'm greatly looking forward to it.
After Ratchet and Sunset - the last two Insomniac games I played, I know I'm in for some fun. The testimony of millions of fans helps too.

I think this is a pretty faithful effort, but I don't expect a 2019 entry to have the full charm of an early 90's game series.
The art style is different for sure - little more comic book-ish, but I think that's alright. The game play looks very solid and the move sets look spot on in terms of recapturing the feel of the early games.
Don't forget the mushroom that grew after the peeing. Guy must have some kinda superpiss.
I personally like the Blooper Team games. I really liked Layers of Fear and I really enjoyed Observer. They're not the best, but they're good.
