Ok since people are arguing I am not going to say anything about the "graphics" aside from Microsoft stating a month ago that "graphics don't matter, its the experience" AND do you really think Microsoft would talk down their own console? Really?

Anyway here you go.

Really? Killer feature? Unless you had a 100+ Inch projector playing on it would cause you to go blind. Here is an example I made up. With NO trolling involved. I really mean that. This is the best example I could think of with this.

NOW remember, each screen must maintain the correct aspect ratio, just like split screen does today. So keep that in mind. You loose even more screen space.

Brace yourself brother, I am with you on this one. However the Elitist will strongly disagree no matter what way you word it.

@aliengmr

Thats my point. I spent all this money on my PC only to see ports of console games with nothing but better graphics.

What I am saying in short is that I'd like to see my PC Rig more justified then Indie games and Unity. Because the mulit-platform games that have come out in recent years have been nothing more then better graphics.

I am just not egotistical enough to justify ONE product for gaming is all. I am a gamer, not a PC E...

I think developers get lazy, not because they want to but because they have no choice. Publishers probably give them very little budget to work with since Piracy on PC is ridiculously high, publishers probably don't think the game will sell very well so they just push out a port with higher resolution and a few graphic options.

My point is (if you've read all of this), PC gaming is not much different from Console gaming anymore. Maybe before the PS3 and Xbox 360, when...

The problem with PC Elitist is that they spend so much money on their PC's its hard for them to swallow the truth of gaming in general.

As a PC gamer with a i7-4770k, 2x GTX680's ,16GB Dominator Platinum memory, a couple SSDS, and HDDS for storage. I can see how it is turning out.

First off, I have been a computer tech for the past 10 Years at a local computer shop. I have a lot of experience with PC's just beyond playing games on them.

Capcom has been making ridiculously bad decisions lately. First off they cancel Mega Man Universe, They have literally distroyed the Resident Evil Series, and then they decide that this game needs to be an Xbox One Exclusive. I can understand it not coming to PS4 (Microsoft Paid for it Obviously). But come on, really not coming out for PC? I mean if Pre-Order numbers are any indication of how this game will sell. I mean ...maybe we will see it come to PC, and quite possibly PS4 (Think Mass Ef...

Am I the only one concerned about the Overclock of the CPU? I mean If I were them I would've done it months ago and made sure that it was good and stable. We don't want another RROD on us. It just bothers me that they thought they needed the bump in speed. Wouldn't this be something to do if you knew your console was inferior in some way?

I dunno its just a little worrying to me is all.

Anyway Congrats Microsoft for releasing this year, I was getting a...

@Dimitri007

I wasn't saying you were wrong about BF4 beign superior on PC thats a given, I have it preordered for PC as well. What I was saying basically is I am excited to see how a development team will achieve 64 player 60fps on a 400 dollar piece of tech.

I know as well as anyone else should, that PC gaming (if you have a capable) PC will always look better. I just don't think its fair to put a 1000+ Dollar PC against 400 dollar console.

@ Cunnilumpkin

You've got to be kidding me with Crysis Screenshots.

For one Go ahead and google how much it cost to run that game at 60FPS in "2006" Secondly that second screenshot...really?

Don't try and turn this into a PC vs Console thread because its about FFXIV, and honestly it's suppose to look better on PC what would you do if it didn't? Obviously the PC version would get a lot of heat, and what not. That bein...

This makes me happy. I am glad to see Sony doing so well again :D.

On top of that I checked Xbox one and the release date says

Release Date: December 31, 2013

Anytime I have seen this release date, it usually means something bad (usually delays or companies have no specific time). Has it always said December 31, 2013 or is this some kind of indication of why Microsoft hasn't given us a ship date yet.

Anyone know?

I agree. They waited too long and 2010-2011-ish would've been the ideal time to release as games were starting to "bump" up in quality the most around then. That being said I feel like people often forget the "benefit" of consoles for developers. Single piece of hardware to code for and learn from. Finding secrets shortcuts along the way and on top of it all better utilization of what you have in front of you.

Examples of this are comparing a developme...

You can disagree that's fine. The benchmarks I was referring too were your standard cheap external HDD. You know the cheap WD passports etc. Those are the ones people will buy, because they are cheap. People won't go buy a high end drive (the majority of people), because they don't know better (hence I made the proprietary comment.

Even on your benchmark proof it shows the passport at around 15MB/s which is what I said.

I would assume if anything its just as if not more secure for Next-Gen consoles.

I am almost positive it will be SATA III Capable. The Tech is old enough to really assume so. On a different note only 3 types of hard drives will notice any "significance" in performance. Either Hybrid HDD/HDD's 7200 RPM or higher/or SSD's.

SATA III is backwards compatible as well as forward. SO you have nothing to worry about :D

I love Eye candy, I have a very expensive custom built PC with 2x GTX 680s in it, and 3 27" monitors for surround gaming. I also have my PS4 payed for and I am patiently waiting. I have Killzone pre ordered as well. On top of a few other games like Watch Dogs AC IV, etc. My point was are Xbox gamers reluctant to not buy the Xbox One at "Launch" for fear of Microsoft doing something shady or all the lies they've spread. Are they sucking it up waiting and buying these games f...

Ryse is Xbox Ones call toward God of War. The Game was suppose to be a on the rails Kinect game (Replace QTE with motions). Microsoft probably pulled it leading up to the Xbox One reveal and since Crytek engine is scaleable they made it look better for the Xbox One. This was one of the games I really was looking forward to as one of the "If I get a Xbox One this would be 1 of the launch games I get". Unfortunately from all I've seen and read about it, I may have to wait for revi...

Oh boy here we go -_-. So you want to know how to tell this wasn't on the Xbox One the easiest way? When you see the "B" button it still looks like the 360 "B" button. you know all gelly looking. Watch this video of COD gameplay (on PC hardware with Xbox One controller) and look how the buttons look different (blueish tint with a white ring around it).

Aside from exploiting/hacking problems with having games on external HDD's there are other reason as well (encrypted or not hackers will find ways) for not having external HDD's on next-gen hardware.

Read/Write speeds probably wouldn't be considered acceptable

assuming you're using a USB 2.0 External HDD your speeds will be around 4MB/sec*

assuming you're using a USB 3.0 External HDD you're reading at around 15MB/se...

Really...This is news? Are you kidding me?

I will try and explain this best I can...try and follow :D.

IF you were able to download games to an external HDD for any game really do you understand what hackers/modders would do, or could do to the game? Think about any game that has been messed with with the use of "JTAG". It would be very similar to what they would try and do with games.

Hackers could inject exploits into the consoles...
