I think this has more to do with the release of AC IV and Watchdogs at basically the same time. I mean if they want to capitalize on sales they would've done this from the start.
I am getting both Watchdogs and AC IV, and honestly, I can see this as a good thing. Too many open world games, would make it too time consuming and people would neglect one over the other for a few weeks/months.

As much as we all want this to be true, it simply wont. Electronics work like this because of quality control test.
For example; Lets say that a factory produces and manufactures 2000 PS4/Xbox One consoles.
Quality Control will probably run a test of 1-5% of the consoles at random. To make sure there are no "anomalies" between the first and last console produced.
SO you have to think. If there are 2000 cons...
Yea, this isn't the first time this has happened in the past with kiosk and stuff. I guess the designers don't really put too much thought into it. They just don't want people touching it.
If anything this is good news, now we know that our consoles wont overheat, they'll just tell us that its too hot where they are.
OH NO. You mean to tell me when you put an item that generates massive heat in a tight box, allowing for NO air-flow and it stops itself from running anymore is a bad thing?!

I am glad this console has this feature and I hope the Xbox One does as well... NO ONE wants a console that over heats. But, really if you put it in a box it will overheat.

On another note.
I have other games that aren't multiplayer to play..on PS3 that are good fun. I played the Last of Us 3 times. I will be on my second playthrough of Beyond Two Souls Soon. I just recently Played MGS4. God Of War Ascension.
Just saying. I do think Xbox Live is a great service for games like COD, BF, Halo. But there isn't much other offerings on Micro...

It is nothing like Heavy Rain aside from the controls.
Heavy Rain was more choice focused, and it mattered what you did and who/if anyone died.
This game is pretty straight forwards it has a few endings though.
Beyond:Two Souls is by far a masterpiece that only David Cage could create. It's amazing.
I bought this game and played it through in one sitting, its actually only about 10-11hrs long, but man THE FEELS.

My fear for BF4 on PC is lack of players :\. I mean its hard to find a good server as it is on BF3. But we'll see.

I think it has to do with EA and their agreement with Microsoft.
I am just speculating here, but if Killzone Can run multiplayer @ 1080p 60fps why can't BF4 on PS4.
I would imagine Microsoft was like "make sure they are almost identical, we paid for exclusive content etc."

No, I don't think it will open console gamers to the world of PC simply because of Price. If console gamers want the power of a PC they probably would already own a PC capable of playing the games they want. Having games exclusive to the consoles and the friends established are what keep Console gamers on the console.

When HL came out it was an amazing game on a scale in which we hadn't seen before. HL2 one upped it and brought PC gamers a world they'd never seen before. I feel like this game will go the way of Duke Nukem Forever. So much hype that there is no way Devs can possibly deliver.
I would love to see a very successful Half-Life 3 but with the bar set so high and the amount of FPS games that have come out since HL2, and games still coming out in the future, I have no faith that this would be any different then a generic Sci-fi FPS.

Anyone with Bioshock or Bioshock Infinite, go pop the game in and unlock the framerate in options menu. Play for 10 minutes with framerate locked and unlocked, then tell me how you feel.
60FPS is far more responsive, smoother, and you don't get that odd "blur" effect of the game Vsyncing to 30fps. You can literally feel the difference from 30 to 60fps. Go try it.
We do need 60FPS for nextgen.
