i feel the same way up until the end i was MEH about all of it, than i got the BFG and was like "OH YES"..saved it didn't use it on any enemies in anticipation for the boss fight that didn't exist..ever
This is the press they need. Negative press almost always leads to very positive press. Why? Because it's getting word out there that the game is great and will spark peoples interest.
The past year so far has been insane. I mean really i've been buying games weekly sometimes 3 games a week and cramming a few days into each one just to catch up. At this point i am about 75% done with Dark Souls after just beating Rage,Gears,Resistance 3, Shadow of the Damned, Catherine, and the list goes on. I agree about the Frame Rate issue, its annoying to try and survive but be crippled by that type of lag.
I personally won't compare the games on a visual level but more so on a technical level, i agree, ND has way more familiarization on the PS3 for obvious reason, but as stated for him to blame the system rather then himself is taking a dickish approach to a simple answer "We had a hard time with the PS3 because we simply were unprepared for the architecture"

I would agree with you but i am not trying to sound like a fan boy. I love Gears and Halo as much as i love Uncharted and Killzone. The problem is the shortcuts they used across all three platforms to make the "open" Wasteland look so good. To blame a system on a technical level is pretty much putting yourself in harms way. Honestly, a "Technical level" means the power is there he just doesn't know how to tap into it. Now if he only he was humble enough to communicate with companies like Naughty Dog, and Guerrilla MAYBE, JUST MAYBE he'd get some programming incite as to how they got there games to look so good. Microsoft is successful right now yes, but what drove that success the first year ahead of ps3. The games were exclusives every "next-gen" game only came out for xbox. So what happens now when the next-gen consoles come and Microsoft has 4 exclusives meanwhile sony will hold onto 9+ if not more by then? My opinion is that Microsoft will rely on fan momentum to keep them going and hope that people aren't going to be swayed to trying different type of exclusives on the competitors...
I am still going to say it will most likely be a exclusive, if you think about the capacity and disc size and how big the game is, to have it on xbox would be a few disk and who wants to play that type of game where any time you go back to an area you have insert a different disk. I mean I'm sure square-enix would love to put it on xbox but with disk limitation it probably wont happen.

My biggest issue with the game was the fact that it had RPG elements in the game, and quest similar to an RPG yet wasn't an RPG. For most quest the game was dragged it was like.. " go to the mayor or Wellsprings and get him to trust you", He gives you a quest, you do the quest. Now he trust you so he sends you to the town sheriff, now the sheriff gives you the supplies for the initial quest, but you cant get them until you get a better vehicle...anyone else see what they were do...
Nice review, though I'd give it more of a 7/10 because i love the game and it does look better than any version even if it doesn't stand to be considered a HD remake. About the "HD" funny thing is its really not HD the textures are just uncompressed versions of the last gen textures. The only thing Capcom did was emulate the game for 360 and PS3. Sad really i mean i only spent 10 on it (playstation plus) so I am fine with it.
I liked the mixture of faster pace gaming and large maps giving you the option to be a run and gunner or a play it safe with a squad. I will be getting this game, as well as MW3, and why? Because in there own right they are both going to be good games. Even if COD is just a rehash of what we've played before
